Death date?

[edit]

Unmotivated edit by IP. Question is what date and what year did this person die? /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 14:12, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dates

[edit]

According to the lead he died in 1891, according to the body text he was governor until his death 1892, and the succession box has him as governor 1896-2000. At least two of these three statements must be wrong. Tomas e (talk) 17:37, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I'm aware, the two that are wrong can be easily explained by the fact that he was never Governor-General - just Vice-GG between 1890 and 1891.—Brigade Piron (talk) 17:47, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Memorials

[edit]

Coquilhat is commemorated in a street named after him in the Antwerp Zuid district of Antwerp, an area that was being developed at the time of his death and after, and by a monument in Antwerp's Albert Park. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 17:46, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
