Development under way

- I didn't get very far with this, but other hands have added material and I have tidied up its structure and organisation. Perhaps \I will have the chance to return to it soon; its a fascinating story. Brianboulton (talk) 17:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Wilkins-Ellsworth Expedition section
[edit]"While the expedition was a failure, the Nautilus did reach a latitude of 82 degrees north - the farthest north a vessel had ever been."
This is not accurate. In 1895, the Fram drifted north of 85° north [1] (see Drift (second phase) section).
