Music genre

[edit]

I have no idea what Dia Frampton's genre should be... Anyone have a clue? ⊾maine12329⊿ talk 11:18, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The genre should be Pop music and all of her albums should be considered Pop and not indie pop. Why you may ask? Because she is currently signed to a label that is owned by Universal Music Group, thus she is no longer and Independent Unsigned artist like she was back in her Meg & Dia days. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.99.243.109 (talk) 14:15, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That was rather rude but I will reply anyway. That is not the point I brought up and I was not the user who reverted the 'pop' thing in the first place, and I accept that she is not Indie pop. I'm asking for other genres because some list her as rock; she has charted in rock charts, but in wikipedia most rock artists usually have a more specific rock genre so I'm unsure what to add in. searching her genre on google is also not easy. ⊾maine12329⊿ talk 06:05, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if I came across as rude. :) But her stuff should only be considered Pop due to A) the sound on her current stuff, B) as a solo artist, she has only done pop music whereas in Meg&Dia that was moreso indie rock, and C) the production of her current work as a solo artist which has a heavy synth/ upbeat tone to it. Hope that cleared that up a bit. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.99.243.109 (talk) 03:34, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dia Frampton discography

[edit]

Support split -Discography section takes up almost half of the article, and should be split to a new article entitled Dia Frampton discography. --Jax 0677 (talk) 01:49, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Walk Away

[edit]

Walk Away appears to be extremely popular in Asia. Not sure why it's not mentioned at the article.

Yeah, I heard it in China. But a lot of the comments at Youtube are in Thai. 103.229.123.156 (talk) 11:08, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Life and career" section does not mention Meg & Dia

[edit]

The band Meg & Dia rightly has its own article, and is referenced in the intro section and the discography. But the section "Life and career" does not mention the band at all – it skips straight from Dia’s high school days to The Voice. In between those two, there should at least be a subsection that simply links the Meg & Dia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.61.175.157 (talk) 12:37, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
