The acronym LAHDA[edit]

What does LAHDA stand for? Google has been unhelpful. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 21:49, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I've seen it mainly written as "Lahda", rather than "LAHDA". Maybe it's not an acronym at all. I'm suspecting it's the Russian word Лада (Lada), romanized as Lah-da to stop people saying Lay-da. Лада means "harmony, concord", and also a stop (organ) or fret (guitar). That's gotta be it. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 22:50, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Moved accordingly. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 05:08, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"As the London Observer explained, LAHDA is "a ‘portmanteau’ word, which combines the meanings of harmony, beauty, and sound" Richard Rosing 16:23, 3 August 2023 (UTC) Richard Rosing 16:23, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
