In 2018, McCann ran for governor and received around 4% of the vote, but there are only two sentences in the article, and they say only that he decided to run, and that he got 4% of the vote. It appears that his campaign did receive substantial news coverage; below is an assortment of articles which should be quite useful if anyone is inclined to expand that portion of the article:
