Wartime Complement

The text says that 605 of 907 crewmen elected to leave in 1945 but the sidebar specifies wartime complement as 730. Which is correct?

Probably both are. She started out her wartime career with a complement of around 730-50 but this certainly increased with the fitting of new radar equipment/weapons and weapons systems. Plus operations in the Pacific theatre late in the war usually included sizeable marine complements, support staff, etc for island operations and so forth. Benea (talk) 20:15, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Commissioning

According to this she was commissioned in December 1942 not January 1943. Drutt (talk) 22:28, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Geoff Mason's ship histories support the early January completion date. She was still on contractor's trials in December. Benea (talk) 23:15, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

I propose that HMCS Quebec (C66) be merged into this article as the ship spent only a few years under the name of Quebec and the vast majority of the significant events in the ship's career happened under the Uganda moniker in both British and Canadian navies. Fifth Fleet under Spruance, Third under Halsey

The phrase "At Leyte she joined the United States Third Fleet, under command of Admiral Raymond Spruance" would seem to be convoluted. The BPF joined 5th fleet under Spruance and then when Halsey took over, became part of the 3rd Fleet. See "The British Pacific Fleet" David Hobbs or any reference to the Halsey and Spruances fleet designations, including the Third Fleet link embedded in the text. eagletree (talk) 21:13, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
