Machian Rural District (Persian: دهستان ماچيان)[3] is in Kelachay District of Rudsar County, Gilan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Machian.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 7,917 in 2,210 households.[6] There were 7,776 inhabitants in 2,509 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 7,063 in 2,603 households. The most populous of its 43 villages was Hadi Kiashar, with 779 people.[2]
