I am born Bramhin

[edit]

I am born Bramhin. I am Kanyakubja Bramhin. My gotra is Upamanyu. I write my surname "Bajpai". Some writes "Vajpayee" / "vajpai" / "Vajpeyi" etc. It dose not matter, who is writting in english language the word Vajpeya. My priest told me that your veda is Yajurveda and this is the veda for all bajpais.

Source for age

[edit]

I've just reverted a rather implausible change to the age of the manuscript, but I see that the age given in the article currently is cited to Witzel (1991), which is missing from the list of sources. Is this a typo or a genuine omission? The same source is used in Atharvaveda and Rigveda, and is missing from both of those articles too. Pinging @Joshua Jonathan. @Wham2001: * Witzel, Michael (2001), "Autochthonous Aryans? The Evidence from Old Indian and Iranian Texts" (PDF), Electronic Journal of Vedic Studies, 7 (3): 1–115 p.5. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 11:18, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect, thank-you! I have made the necessary updates. Best, Wham2001 (talk) 17:11, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please correct the errors in the article.

[edit]

This article makes a lot of confusing and possibly erroneous claims. One which is definitely wrong is the claim that the Shatapatha Brahmana is a part of the yajurveda. This is patently false. It is a commentary/manual text on the yajurveda but it is a separate text. It also states that the upanishads are a part of the YV, which is also likewise just as false. It makes understanding the article very difficult. Please correct it. 2409:4042:4E8E:E9A8:0:0:EA48:720D (talk) 14:00, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Perspective ambiguity

[edit]

Here it seems like the perspective is completely Western so we can add native perspective along with the existing perspective. Ex:Arya is a race in West,Arya means Noble in the east. Rajeshfadnavis (talk) 07:03, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
