Mario Guarente (born 2 December 1983) is an Italian politician. Born in Potenza, Guarente is the former local leader of the Movement for Autonomy (MpA) from 2010 to 2014.[2][3] In 2017, he joined the right-wing populist party Lega.[1]
In the 2019 Italian local elections, Guarante was the mayor of Potenza candidate.[4] He was elected in the runoff on 9 June 2019 and took office on 20 June 2019.[1] For the 2024 Italian local elections, Guarente did not seek re-election,[5][6] having been one of the least popolar mayors.[7]
