Your account has been blocked indefinitely because it appears to impersonate another Wikipedia user. Users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, nor is other disruptive behavior ever allowed. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. For best results, please read the guide to appealing blocks first. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:57, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you're at all interested in making useful contributions to this project please go ahead a request a change of username – right here on this page would be fine. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:00, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

please change my username IamNotTheRealStevenWalling (talk) 17:15, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You're going to have to give a much better explanation than that of what's going on here. Also, we can't pick your new username for you. Follow the instructions above for how to specify it. If the "IamNotTheRealStevenWalling" above is your intended username, that will be declined: Pick a name that represents you. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 20:01, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

{{Unblock-un|user=IAmTheRealStevenWalling|reason=Change my username to Xeimen129 please i guess that represents me, and lol i made my name real steven walling becuase of the wikipedia username "tutorial video" as a joke its not that bad, anyways i guess thats all that it is. Requested username:

Request reason:

When I was watching that Wikipedia account creation video, I saw Steven Walling and did an ironic obvious inspiration, but that was the joke. change my name to Xeimen129 please That would be cool, that's all its not a pyramid scheme or SSN leaks or anything

Accept reason:

I was really on the fence on this one, but I'm going to give you a chance here. To avoid getting reblocked (and making me look dumb), please:
  • Take some time to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia norms. Pay attention to the tone our articles are written in. Read Wikipedia:User pages (covers subpages as well). Read Wikipedia:Copyrights. Look at what kinds of edits constructive, experienced editors make.
  • Avoid anything that could be taken as trolling. Even if you think it's really funny.
  • Ask at the Teahouse if you have questions about anything. Maybe seek mentorship from a more experienced user.
Happy editing. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 18:45, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I assume you're referencing File:Wikipedia User Name.webm, which is two clicks from Special:CreateAccount, so that plus the specified name actually does answer my objections in my above decline—although I'll ping Steven Walling to see if he feels otherwise. The remaining issue, then, is your contributions to date. Your first edit is borderline vandalism. Your three subsequent edits (excluding to your userpage and usertalk) [1] [2] [3] are all marginal, leaning non-constructive. Can you explain what kinds of edits you will make if unblocked? (Note: Having already declined your request, I can't decline again, but replies here may influence another reviewing admin's decision. Meanwhile, I can accept, if convinced.) -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 20:41, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The joke is pretty funny at first, but it can be confusing to other people and look like it's an account I might have created, so if you could pick a name that doesn't include my name, that would be preferred please. Steven Walling • talk 21:04, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To be clear, I meant that the username issue is satisfied contingent on rename. I certainly would not accept this under the current name, and doubt anyone else would either. But I'm a renamer, so I can handle that aspect, if this user is able to give a satisfactory answer to my other concern. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 21:12, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Tamzin, makes sense. Steven Walling • talk 00:49, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My first edit was stupid, I admit. I already knew the pretection were already strict asf. My second edit request was to add a box to the Austria-Hungary article that showed the flag and the naval insignia, both of them. I wanted to do this because people keep spamming the article with edits that change the flag or insignia. My third edit had a permission error, some reason I cant access it, I promise that I won't make any more shit edits. I use Wikipedia unironically a lot I think that adding a box with the flag and insignia to the Austria-Hungary article would be a valuable addition tho. IamNotTheRealStevenWalling (talk) 14:40, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Justlettersandnumbers: I'd tentatively favor a WP:ROPE unblock here after rename, coupled with a strong encouragement to go slow and ask questions at the Teahouse. But it's not a strong feeling, so this isn't the standard "Any objections?" but a more open-ended "What do you think?" -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 17:03, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and the third thing was your sandbox, a comment you copy-pasted from a YouTube video. In addition to this being useless to us as an encyclopedia, please see Wikipedia:Copyrights—not everything you find on the Internet is free to use, and in fact most things aren't. The reason I'm not too pressed about this is that the edit is from June 2021, submitted to AfC May 2022, and I'm gauging an upward trend in maturity here. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 17:07, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Tamzin, no objection from me if you think the user is likely to make useful edits (and is renamed, of course). Thanks for handling this, regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:32, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on BadEmpanada requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
