The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish is an American animated television series based on the Nickelodeon animated series The Fairly OddParents (2001–17) created by Butch Hartman. It is the third series in the franchise, after The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder (2022). The series premiered with a sneak peek on May 17, 2024, with the series officially premiering on May 20, 2024.[1][2] It will also premiere internationally on Netflix.[3]
Synopsis
Premise
Serving as a continuation of the original series, The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish tells the story of Hazel Wells, a 10-year-old girl who has recently moved to the city of Dimmadelphia because of her father's new job. On top of being in an unfamiliar environment, it’s also the first time she’s been without her older brother, Antony, who left to start college, leaving her feeling lonely and unsure of herself. All that changes when their pink-and-green-haired neighbors next door reveal themselves to be no ordinary neighbors, but fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda, who are unretiring after 10,000 years to become Hazel's fairy godparents.[4][5]
Setting
The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish is set in the fictional city of Dimmadelphia, where the Wells family has moved.
Voice cast
- Ashleigh Crystal Hairston as Hazel Wells,[4] an adventurous 10-year-old girl with unique interests and an even wilder imagination. Cosmo and Wanda leave retirement to become her fairy godparents to grant her every wish as a result of her brother Antony leaving for college, making her feel lonely.[6]

- Cosmo,[4] Hazel's fairy godfather and husband to Wanda.
- Jorgen Von Strangle, an Arnold Schwarzenegger-based fairy who is best described as "the toughest fairy in the universe".
- Susanne Blakeslee as Wanda,[4] Hazel's fairy godmother and wife to Cosmo.
- Jentel Hawkins as Angela Wells,[7] Hazel's mother.
- Asante Jones as Marcus Wells,[8] Hazel's father.
Production
In June 2023, trademark registrations attached to Paramount Global and Nickelodeon were made.[9]
In July 2023, Norris confirmed that a new Fairly OddParents project was in the works.[10]
The series, which was now titled The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, was officially announced by Nickelodeon on February 23, 2024. 20 episodes were ordered for the first season.[4] The series is produced by Billionfold Inc., FredFilms, and Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, California.[11]
The CG animation was produced by Giant Animation in Dublin.
