65th season in franchise history
The 2024 season will be the Denver Broncos ' upcoming 55th season in the National Football League (NFL) and their 65th overall. It will also be their fourth under the leadership of general manager George Paton , their third under the ownership of the Walton-Penner family group and their second under head coach Sean Payton . They will attempt to improve on their 8–9 record from last year, make the playoffs after an eight-year absence, and end their eight-year AFC West title drought. This is their first season without Justin Simmons since 2015 , as he was released on March 7.

Post-draft trades
On April 29, the Broncos acquired defensive end John Franklin-Myers in a trade that sent their 2026 sixth-round selection to the New York Jets .[ 43]
On April 22, the Broncos unveiled a new set of uniforms known as The "Mile High Collection"—the team's first uniform change since 1997 .[ 44] The team also unveiled their 1977 throwback jerseys which includes the royal blue "D" helmets.[ 45]
