This is a list of municipalities in Syria which have standing links to local communities in other countries known as "town twinning" or "sister cities" (usually in the rest of the world).

Syria Turkey Antakya and Erzin, par of theHatay Province (Liwa' Iskenderun in arabic) was part of Syria, then, Ottoman Syria, later on, the French mandate of Syria, but became part of Turkey since its annexation in 1939. The French encouraged the annexation, hoping it would act as an incentive to Turkey to reject an alliance with Nazi Germany. The Hatay province is part of historic Syria.

Syria Israel The Golan Heights is part of Syria, occupied by Zionist Israel since 1967 in the context of the Six-Day war. It is internationally recognised as a part of Syria, unlike the Hatay province which is claimed solely by the Syrian government and Arab nationalists.
