The 2024 Chicago White Sox season is the club's 125th season in Chicago, their 124th in the American League and their 34th at Guaranteed Rate Field. It is their first full season under general manager Chris Getz. They attempt to improve from their 61–101 season from the previous year – as of April 25, they had opened with a 3–22 record, the worst to that mark in franchise history.
On June 6, after a 14–2 loss against the Boston Red Sox, the White Sox set a franchise record for most consecutive losses with 14.
On July 14, after a 9–4 loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the White Sox set the MLB record for most losses before the All-Star break at 71.[1]
On July 28, after a 6–3 loss to the Seattle Mariners, the White Sox tied the franchise record for most consecutive losses at 14, which was previously set a month prior. They also became the first team since the 2021 Baltimore Orioles to suffer two different losing streaks of 14 or more losses.
