Catherine Austin Fitts Bio

Hi Wafulz. I have some questions that I wanted to ask in detail. I apologize for the length of the post.

1. Fitts is not a member of 911truth.org ( http://911truth.org/). I have tried to correct this several times. First, I deleted it. When it continued to be added, I included it as one of a list of her former board positions. This was deleted. Why? Here’s the list I added:

Former Board and Advisory Board Positions

  • Member, Board of Directors, Student Loan Marketing Association, Sallie Mae, 11/91-3/94
  • Member, Board of Directors, Dillon, Read & Co. Inc., 1/86-3/89
  • Member, Board of Directors, Carteret Savings Bank, F.A., Morristown, NJ, 6/91-12/92
  • Member, Board of Directors, First American Corp. and First American Bankshares, Inc., 3/94-10/96
  • Member, Advisory Council, Federal National Mortgage Association, Fannie Mae, 2/92-12/93
  • Member, Board of Trustees, The Friends Select School, 9/99-5/02
  • Member, Graduate Executive Board, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, 4/86-10/94
  • Member, Board of Overseers, University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences, 2/87-3/89
  • Member, Board of Directors, Wharton Business School Club of New York, Inc., 12/88-3/89
  • Member, Advisory Board, The Wharton School Club of Washington, DC, 9/91-12/95
  • Member, Board of Trustees, Bank Street College, 11/88-3/89
  • Member, Board of Directors, New York City Food Bank, 3/87-3/89
  • Member, Board of Directors and Executive Committee, National Multi Housing Council, 4/92-12/95
  • Member, Board of Directors, The Housing Roundtable, Inc., 1/91-12/93
  • Member, 9/11 Truth, 2004-5

2. My link to Navigate the Falling Dollar, a video openly available on the Internet ( http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2984480718427930625) keeps being deleted. This is a primary source overview of Fitts' work and point of view. Why keep deleting it?

3. A statement saying that Fitts implicates Jewish investors is not true. On the blog, Fitts links to hundreds of articles, one includes a reference that you quote without context. This presentation is misleading and false. My efforts to delete it have been overwritten. Why?

4. A statement saying that Fitts has used her blog to accuse Israel of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine is not true. She posted a bulletin from KPFA radio related to Israel and Palestine. This presentation is misleading and false. My efforts to delete it have been overwritten. Why?

Here is a series of my posts and reversions before I was blocked out for 24 hours:

It appears that Wiki administrators are locking out corrections to false and misleading postings. This is strange indeed.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Anastarr (talkcontribs)

These issues are better dealt with on Talk:Catherine Austin Fitts. The page had been a target of constant blanking without any sort of discussion, and you ended up being blocked because you kept removing material without making a single comment as to why. Here are the best answers I can offer
  1. I changed "serves" to "served". There's no need for a cumbersome list that holds a confusing purpose
  2. Links to Google Video and YouTube are often deleted because of copyright and licensing concerns
  3. I didn't include this link- I was reverting it because you were blanking it without discussion.
  4. Same as above.
I hope this answers your questions. Also, sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~), which are automatically converted into a signature with your username and date. --Wafulz 21:42, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wafulz, just letting you know that, as you requested, this conversation is continuing at Talk:Catherine Austin Fitts. I hope you can take the time to read and respond there. Thanks Utunga 23:20, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am the most junior admin in wiki; you have been here longer. I was just messaging the author of this article; given that he had inserted some considerable amount of info into the talk page, I was proposing that we give hime two days to improve it. If you don't like that I shan't argue. Perhaps I'm just too soft hearted with a new editor.--Anthony.bradbury 22:42, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We could userfy it and let him work on it there. --Wafulz 22:43, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At first I thought I lost all my editing, Well at least you have saved it by userifying it or whatever you call it. If you could have given me a week's time it would have been more kind of you. There are other people on our project (Open-ERP) who are interested in expanding this article. I can be found on MSN @ dearmansoor@hotmail.com Rana Mansoor Akbar Khan 23:00, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have told him that it's now up to him; I shall not get further involved. But as he did not thank you, I will do so for him. Thank you.--Anthony.bradbury 23:09, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page deletion

That BenH sock

I want to thank you, on behalf of myself and WP:TVS, for blocking that User:BenH sock. I was nervous that I'd have to revert List of programs broadcast by CBS a third time if he hit it again. Blueboy96 19:13, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese

Thanks for being kind to that Japanese editor, last night (in Australia). The article was meaningless but his intentions were all good! Taking time to drop him a line about his deletion was a nice touch. --Steve (Stephen) talk 21:52, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vitaly Margulis

I noticed that you removed the db-copyvio speedy template I placed on the above page, stating that permission had been obtained. I would point out that the creator of the article had probably assumed that he had permission to dump the entire contents of the Fondacion Albeniz website into wikipedia. However, I believe that the Fondacion are not the copyright holders of the article concerned, because they in turn have had articles posted on the website which may be subject to copyright elsewhere. Indeed, I have found a number of articles there were direct copies of official websites of the artists or their management, or their record companies, and where the copyright assertion is clear. Margulis is faculty at UCLA, and are most likely the actual copyright owners in this particlular case. Certainly, the balance of probabilites is that Albeniz ARE NOT the copyright holders. I believe therefore that the speedy criterion remains valid, and have therefore reversed your change. Obviously, I would be interested in your comments. Ohconfucius 08:15, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

I would like to thank you for your swift action of blocking 58.152.146.250 and reverting the vandalism in the article of Queen's College, Hong Kong, as well as damage in my userpage and my talk page. That saves my time, really thanks for that! -INTELer 15:06, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ForrestLane42

You recently blocked User:ForrestLane42. He had been making non-productive edits on the Mark Levin page. SInce his block, an IP address User:167.206.60.106 has made a non-productive edit. I am suspicious that it's the same editor. Could you check up on this. Thanks. - BillCJ 15:26, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You

Thanks for overturning the decision to speedy-delete my new article. I'll most likely be gathering some proper information tomorrow, and making a real article out of that stub of mine. Kewlio 08:36, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for suggestions on Cutman

Hi,

Thank you for reviewing my article on cutmen, especially for the suggestion to look into the history of the profession. It has not occured to me before.

CSD

Thanks for your note, I hadn't checked the talk page and seen that there was a prior AfD. I try to do lots of cleanup around, so I think I got lost. Cheers! Baristarim 18:35, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed that the prior-AfD notice wasn't in the usual format and was simply left as a wikilink, maybe that's why I missed - I am used to those new prior-AfD boxes :) Baristarim 18:36, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that the section of SAT to which the page on Trevor Loflin was merged has been deleted, and for good reason; the information on Trevor Loflin was entirely inappropriate in that article. I have nominated the article on Mr. Loflin for deletion a second time. Based on your participation either in the article on Trevor Loflin or in the previous afd, you may wish to participate in the article's present deletion discussion. Thanks. Pour salt on the Wonky wound?

Wafulz, do you think it's worth it to salt Wonky now that it's deleted? I know, there's WP:BEANS, but if he did it once, he'll do it again. --Dennisthe2 01:46, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've blocked both involved users indefinitely, since they're just nonsense accounts. That should do it. If not, I'll salt. --Wafulz 01:53, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

QUESTION

The user repeatedly deleted every photo I provided copyright and source information for on Mitt Romney's page. I made it clear they were from the United States Congress Website and thus available for use. It was clearly justifiable. S. Stallings 23:20, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You'll have to be more specific about which user and what photo. --Wafulz 00:38, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, you are right! That was a good edit, I just got a bit over-anxious with the revert! Sorry about that, I'll make sure that that caption stays in the article from here on out. No hard feelings, Rahzel 14:39, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please take a look at the 12 April edits by User:Iggyskeet. I think they're vandalism, but I'm not sure (don't know jack about hockey). Thanks. CalebNoble 14:47, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All vandalism. He's blocked. --Wafulz 14:47, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Parteco

Hi Wafulz. I noticed you think my posting was spam and part of promotion. Did you also think the information was not relevant? Could you, please, let me know what should be done in order to have the information in Wikipedia? If there is no way for that, it is good to hear it now. I would also like to know if it actually changes anything when someone else outside of the organisation puts the same facts online since the content i wrote was correct and written with no extra adjectives? There even was text about a company that is related to my work only by name. Why also that was deleted?

The Parteco project is one of the first projects in Finland that concentrates on social media. There is much smaller probability to have someone publishing information about the research than for example for some small band who has active fans. If artist pages tell about records, howcome there cannot be content about nationally significant research. Our university is non-commercial public organisation so i did not realise the edit could be thought as something unapproriate. My regrets for that. If you have time to answer, i would appreciate it. I have interest in this policy issue also due to my research. --Katrig

Bullaburra

re: Bullaburra- if family members cannot contribute oral history how else is this information ( and private images!) to be preserved and recorded?? Counterstrike Weapons and Such

Wafulz, I'd like to start my message to you by saying I deeply respect you and your work with Wikipedia. Your position as an administrator isn't lost on me, nor is the notice on your user page that you have advanced math skills.

Obligiatorily sycophantic blabbing aside, I was reading about Counterstrike in Wikipedia today, and saw that you wanted the equipment information page deleted, saying that Wikipedia "is not a game guide." While I understand this, I think that having CS stats and such available on the site doesn't really smack of a guide; it's not only detailed information that would improve the quality of the info on the game, but it would be extremely helpful to those who'd like to learn about the game (for example, myself). Thanks for taking the time to read. 68.35.28.203 04:29, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure which article you're referring to specifically (I'm guessing Counter-Strike weapons & equipment), but typically a good video game encyclopedia article would contain comprehensive but not unwieldy material. For example, it should detail a plot outline, development history, sales figures, release dates, notable controversies, impact, etc. Once it gets into lists of units or equipment, the articles start to move away from being encyclopedia articles and they transform into strategy guides and fan material. While this information is extremely useful to those who are interested in the game, it has no benefits to those who don't play it, and it begins to go beyond the scope of Wikipedia. The solution to this is to find a relevant gaming Wiki or other site where this can go. In this case, the CS Wiki contains all of the relevant information, so the material can go there (assuming it's not there to begin with). I hope this helps your understanding. --Wafulz 06:00, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ooh-oom-papa

What in the tapdancing hell happened to this page?!? Thanks for reverting it, Luigimaniac. Geez, I'm really disgusted with this "bad bad buddha" guy. I may have had a few disagreements with Walfulz in the past, but that doesn't mean that I support people who blank his page for no good reason, especially if they replace it with inane banter. And, yes, I realize that I used a similar tactic against Andrevan during the Afd for Super Mario: Blue Twilight DX, and I regret that action. It was really immature, I won't do it again, and I am not going to tolerate other users doing the same thing. A message to all potential vandals: You have been warned. --Luigifan 20:02, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mycoogee should not be deleted

Could you please explain why you delete Mycoogee? According to wiki policy, it is not a promotion for any special company, it is an objective evaluation of a new emerging service. Please educate me why you delete it, and what is the difference between this one and YouTube, Flickr, iTalkBB, and some others? A merely glimpse at the name does not justify it to be quickly deleted.

Additionaly, I argue that 'mobile life sharing' is a nonsense, it does not fit into any of the two criteria of the wiki defination. It just needs more explaination and expansion. Please educate me why it is a nonsense? Mikeqil 13:35, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was written like an advertisement and didn't assert any sort of notability, so it was deleted under speedy deletion criteria. I also deleted mobile life sharing under the same grounds (not as nonsense). I mean, the phrase "mobile life sharing" only gets four hits on Google, which is extremely low for something based entirely on the internet. --Wafulz 15:47, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jimbo

I was wondering if the block on Jimbo3374 isn't a bit too harsh? There are other people named Jimbo, or it could be a reference to South Park or the Simpsons. This name does not seem overly confusing to me. >Radiant< 13:33, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Within context of Wikipedia I think it's a bad username, similar to how I would block someone named Wafulz3374 or Radiant!3374. --Wafulz 13:34, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We have a User:Jimbo3, User:Jimbo68 and User:Jimbo79 who don't seem to be problematic. I don't see many Wafulz around but there are quite a lot of names similar to "Radiant" (e.g. User:RadiantRay) and that doesn't bother me. >Radiant< 13:39, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, feel free to unblock him I guess. --Wafulz 16:14, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Web based games

RE: [Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Inselkampf_(2nd_nomination)]. The outcome was quite clearly no-concensous... but that aside, about 60% of the articles in that category have been deleted this week, i believe its a similar debate to the currently raging over high schools, albeit on a smaller and less significant level. There needs to be some discussion over this, WP needs to make a decision about whether to just delete them all or accept that 'third party' sources, as you put it, basically don't exist. Unfortunately I have neither the time nor the knowledge to appeal these decisions. Please see the discussion here [3]. Bjrobinson 14:19, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Numerically, it might be "no consensus", but for anything based on actual policies it was quite clearly a consensus to delete. No sources = no article. --Wafulz 16:14, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bullaburra

Of course the history of people who lived in Bullaburra is useful and meaningful, especially if they owned and operated the one and only commercial enterprise in the town! It goes to way of life and would connect to many people who also lived there at the time. It goes to the use of the building itself, which is a landmark still standing- and its signifigance in the community. I'm not certain that I am happy for you to just steal my photo without the rest of the article. You aren't even able to label it correctly- it would be good if you actually knew something about the subject before you poke your nose in- The town's name is spelt 'Bullaburra'. The building is THE one and only 'General Store not 'A grocery store' and is a significant social landmark. Wendy wheatley 07:15, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
