Dear Wikipedians. Unfortunately I have to leave Wikipedia due to tons of work I have to do in real live :) However, I'll keep editing on part time bases. If you have any question or need help, please email me at any time. Thanks and wishing you all the best. Warm regards to all of Wikipedia, Luis Dingley.

Hi

WOW! I'm really glad that you are back. How have you been?--KoberTalk 14:55, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Luis. I have exploited a relatively free period in my real life and created a couple of articles I was interested in. Cheers, KoberTalk 15:54, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

take a look

at Talk:Politics_of_Georgia. I've got several questions about your revert. Regards. Alaexis 17:50, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Religion in Abkhazia

Hi Luis. Of course, I’m interested in the article. I’ll post my materials on your project page, if you don’t mind. We can later compile them into a full-length article. Thanks, KoberTalk 17:19, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome, my friend. :) I’ve also found a brilliant and truly academic article on the Georgian Orthodox Catholicosate of Abkhazia (Abkhazeti and Imereti) in the 2000 edition of Russian Orthodox Encyclopedia. I’ll soon start to translate it into English. Cheers, KoberTalk 17:29, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, Luis. Many thanks for the links. I'll join you soon again. Keep up the good work, --KoberTalk 04:38, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Georgia

Ldingley, or Luis if I may, do not forget that the article about Georgia is B-rated. So new edits should be wellcomed. I began editing the article one or two weeks ago. Initially I was always writing my arguments on the talk page prior to editing. But those argument would be ignored until I would actually edit the page, and then I was a vandal, and for some vague reason a bolshevik too. Tamokk 08:14, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok Luis. I made some little changes to the lead section, you can revice it too. Although, I still think without listing the invaders it looked better, simplier and nicer to read :) Tamokk 01:48, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am so curious

Dear Luis, how are you doing? I am so curious what is the topic of your Doctorate thesis if you don't mind answering. Regards, SosoSosoMK 16:04, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Hey Luis. Many thanks for kind words and advices. I had been working on that article for a few months, but only today I found time to post it here. Cheers, --KoberTalk 15:58, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I am.

Hey Luis. Please check this. What do you think? --KoberTalk 19:22, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Luis. I'll work on the Tskhum-Abkhazeti eparchy article. Cheers, --KoberTalk 19:43, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
O my god! I think that idiotic list has zero chance to survive. It has already been subjected to relentless edit wars just because some of our overzealous colleagues suddenly discovered the Montevideo treaty and decided that every bedroom that declares independence should qualified as a Sovereign State. heh... --KoberTalk 20:09, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Luis. I've seen this article. It is quite interesting, but it lacks some details about the events in Iberia. I'll add them when I have enough time. Thanks, KoberTalk 14:38, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POV

Thank you. Please see [1] I have no opinion on individual entities, and I support your inclusion of the "dubious / neutrality contested" tag on each of those until such time they are either removed or the requested sources are provided. Until then it is preferable that the list criteria remains consistent with international law.Britlawyer 15:16, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of sovereign states

Please, put your initial comments in the appropriate section (for editors involved in the dispute). I tried to do it for you, but you re-added it where the following discussion should go. Dpotop 15:45, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Luis, your last edit in Georgia has caused some strange things with notes. I am not touching, as I could not understand what's the problem. Can you fix that? Tamokk 15:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Abkhazia

Hey Luis, many Thanks for the Kamani article. I'm currently working on July 1989 events in SUkhumi when Abkhaz seperatists attacked a local Georgian university and killed many Georgians. Cheers, --KoberTalk 17:01, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the link, Luis. Who shot that video, btw? Georgians? --KoberTalk 18:46, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photos

Hi! I'm a spanish wiki user and I found a lot of pictures and I want to know if are you the owner, and if the answer is yes if can I upload it in commons. Sorry by my english.

Hey Marshall, Luis Dingley recently sent me a lot of great photographs of the Karabakh war from his collection. See if you can use these. -- Clevelander 22:02, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, did Canada win the world cup. Congrats! Suomi (as the saying goes prinimai nas Suomi krasavica :)) Tamokk 04:47, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Luis. How are you? What do you think about this article? Please make corrections you deem necessary when you have time. Thanks, --KoberTalk 14:59, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done it. --KoberTalk 19:24, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who is damaging the article is primarily Sosomk. If you find my edits damaging and you claim that your way is colaborative, you better answer my arguments on the talk page upon which those edits usualy are made. My personal aversion to S. comes exactly from revertings, ignoring my and other users arguments and his incivil attitude. Tamokk 04:35, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, let me remind you that in wikipedia vandalism is a technical term, and edits can be considered as such exclusively per wikipedia definitions. Please refer to those definitions, or the word is derogatory. When Sosomk was blocked his incivility was clearly indicated as one of the reasons. Tamokk 04:35, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tamokk, stop being a little pussy and complaining about everything. You are not gonna change a fucking sentence in the economy section without providing a good reasoning!!!!! SosoMK 19:52, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ldingley. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Jari7.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:Ldingley/Archive 1. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Re. Egyptian

Hi- Hoch's Middle Egyptian Grammar and James Allen's Middle Egyptian are good primers, used often in beginning classes. These are what I would recommend. — Zerida 01:17, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kosovar Flag

Dear Luis, Warm greetings from Kosovo. I received your message regarding the Kosovar flag. I shall make sure that I contribute to the article and as soon as a decision about the official flag is made I will endeavour to have it uploaded on Wikipedia. Kind regards and best wishes with you Ph.D. -- Kosovar 20:04, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Luis,
(i) Re: Albanians article, I will keep an eye on it, however, just like you I am working on my Ph.D. thesis and I do not have time to regularly monitor articles. I will do my best though.
(ii) The word "Shqiptarë" is believed (widely accepted amongst Albanians) to derive from the word "Shqiponjë" (in spoken Albanian "Shqipe" or "Shqipja") that means eagle in Albanian. You see, the Albanian language was unified only during the 1970s and the spoken Albanians which most of people in Kosovo use is slighly different to the written (unified) language. So, in Kosovo often you call a fellow Albanian as "Shqipe" which means an "eagle", however the actual word in the dictionary is "Shqiponjë". Hence, Shqipëria (the Albanian name for Albania) is generally understood to mean the land of eagles and moreover the black eagle is found in the Albanian flag.
Best wishes, Kosovar 18:57, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reinstatement of indefinite block

I am really sorry to have to do this, but since you have violated your agreement not to ever upload any more images, I've had to reinstate your indefinite block. As discussed previously, Wikipedia takes copyrights very seriously and your continued inability to follow our policies with regards to image copyright leave little option but to decline to accept further contributions from you. Thank you for your work. I wish you the best on your dissertation. Shell babelfish 06:27, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I DID NOT UPLOAD ANY IMAGES. ON WHAT GROUND DID YOU BLOCK? AGAIN, PLEASE SEE MY CONTRIBUTIONS, I DID NOT UPLOAD ANY IMAGES. I WILL REPORT THIS ATTACK TO OTHER ADMINS. AFTER April 13, 2007 I DID NOT UPLOAD ANY IMAGES! Ldingley 15:35, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Iberocaucasian6538.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Iberocaucasian6538.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:15, 10 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MaxSem 09:15, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Dear Luis, thanks for your support and you have got to really damage the Georgia related articles to get Sergo Barnstar, so I don't think that you qualify :). As for that economy section, the guy has no argument, so I might as well just go ahead and change it since I have 66% percent of the votes. Regards, SosoMK 17:09, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading Images

I DID NOT upload any image after April 13, 2007. Please review my contributions after this date. The Admin Shelly blocked me without checking my contributions list, why? What is the reason Mrs Shelly blocked me? Does she have any personal problems with me? Other Admins, please review this unfair situation. Thanks. Ldingley 15:42, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, the image OrphanBot notified you about was not uploaded after April 13, however, since April 13 you have made four changes to the licensing of photos [2]. You have been warned more times that I can recall about violating Wikipedia's copyright policies and yet you continue to blatantly do so. On March 21st a community ban against your account was supported due to the seriousness of your violations.
You are correct in that you have not broken the agreement not to upload any more images and I apologize for misreading the most recent log. Unfortunately, by continuing to improperly change the licensing status of photos, you are continuing the same problem which lead the community to the ban decision. Since you appear to have no interest in stopping your behavior, I cannot in any good conscience unblock you account. Shell babelfish 15:56, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No this is completely unfair. You have made a statement where you abided me not to upload and i did so. You did not say anything about licensing. The images which you mntions i did upload but i attached proper licensing which is accurate. Those images which you took liberty to remove, are from the Georgian Government Photo Agency and belong to the Georgian State. I took the responsibility to attach the proper labelling after the incident when you blocked me for the first time, in order to avoid any further problems. But you have unfairly blocked me again, without any discussion about this issue or suggestion because i would follow any suggestion you would make and not even attach anything to any image. But you did not do so, you blocked me again which is completely unfair and definitely an abuse of admin powers. Which is very sad and pitiful. I appealed to other admins and hope they will correct this injustice. Ldingley 16:06, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
