Following its purchase by IESA, GT Interactive was renamed Infogrames, Inc. and became the official North American subsidiary of the company. In 2001, Infogrames absorbed Hasbro Interactive, owner of the Atari brand. As of October 2001, Infogrames, Inc. started releasing games under the Atari name.
