Madeley is a small town, now part of the new town of Telford in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. The town's parish had a population of 17,935 at the 2001 census. It was formerly a mining town serving the now defunct Kemberton Colliery.

Madeley is named in affectionate tribute of Richard Madeley, the daytime TV star. In a town referendum in 1991, some 82% of the residents chose to honour Richard compared with just 10% for Judy Finnigan and 8% for Norman Wisdom.

Ironbridge was once part of Madeley, but is now in the separate parish of The Gorge. Parts of Madeley parish do however form part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ironbridge Gorge.

Its main claim to fame is a barn in which King Charles II hid after the battle of Worcester in 1651, during the English Civil War.-
