Great idea for Friendly!

What a Brilliant Idea Barnstar
For envisioning and suggesting that Friendly's tagging feature extend to redirect tagging I award you this Barnstar, Closedmouth! Kudos, and keep up the good work! Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 17:06, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School international awards

Dear Closedmouth, Thanks for your notice. Indeed, I did not clear texts from the article but merged it into the main article of Hanoi Amsterdam High school. I think it will be neater if those texts are contained in the article on the school.

Thank you again for your advice. But something wrong happened :D. When I click on the link to Hanoi-Amsterdam High school International Awards, I was otherwise directed to the list of Hanoi National University of Education High school International Awards. I'm sure that Amser would be down a little bit if they know this. I have corrected it already. Nice day. ^^ Thieugia (talk) 14:04, 11 December 2007 (UTC) Best regards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thieugia (talkcontribs) 12:38, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Woops! --Closedmouth (talk) 14:02, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish wikipedia to have any credibility on this subject within Judaism, you will need to remove this page and split up each item into its own page. There is no reasons to entries on people such as Lew, Levitin and Jaffe when each on their own may or may not merit a page on wikipedia. Judge each one separately, and set up a separate page for them.

Additionally, the title is misleading. Some of the issues there are scandals, not controversy. Controversy implies that Chabad supports what they did tacitly or otherwise and others don't. What they did was simply a scandal for which each suffered the consequence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.113.50.83 (talk) 18:02, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop, Look and Laugh

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Stop, Look and Laugh, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Stop!, Look and Laugh. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:41, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you use the move tab at the top of an article as has been explained to you, you won't get messages like this. --Closedmouth (talk) 05:25, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Closedmouth - I am learning slowly, so please bear with me. I used the "redirect" icon, but forgot to paste the establised text into the new page. I had some difficulty then adding the text afterwards. My error. What is the difference between "move" and "redirect?" Or is there one? Oanabay04 (talk) 14:37, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have not made the destructive edits you implied on my talk-page. Seriously, I have no history of vandalism, in fact I very often look out for and repair vandalism. It could be that my account has been hijacked, so I will change my password. Thank you for letting me know. -ramz- (talk) 14:18, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re. Geoffrey Box/Godfrey Box

re. CSD R3 on the former. Aha, I see, now... For some reason I thought that if I blanked the redirect that a bot would pick up and delete that as an empty page. Cheers, David. Harami2000 (talk) 09:59, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dance Karaoke DKara

You didn't want to read my explanation for keeping the redirect alive? It's better to contribute than to discourage other from doing so. AeronPrometheus (talk) 11:35, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's your point? --Closedmouth (talk) 12:23, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Listen to other people's point of view before acting, that's part of being a Wikipedia user. I'm willing to listen to yours, but instead of communicating with me you acted as if it didn't matter. I don't mind, I can ignore this, unless you try to stop the page from reoccurring when I need it to be there. I'd rather work with you than against you, what say you? AeronPrometheus (talk) 22:00, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Undid revert

I see you reverted the c3a redirect to go straight to the "C3 (complement)" instead of giving the option to go to the also relevent cement chemistry page. I have un-done your revision as I for one came looking for the cement chemistry page and would have found it difficult to find otherwise.

Your current edit looks good to me, thanks Noodle snacks (talk) 08:42, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish Haiti

Please stop reverting the move of Spanish Haiti. This is a very important piece of history with a large number of references available. Although it did become the Dominican Republic it was not the same. I am in the process of expanding it. UnclePaco (talk) 12:28, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

some is but not to the degree that I have and am building. Even the name of the former nation of Spanish Haiti is in the article of Dominican Republic. please allow me to build this. UnclePaco (talk) 12:39, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
thanks i'm building it on my userspace now before moving it over. UnclePaco (talk) 12:56, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

alright this is what I have for now. [1] UnclePaco (talk) 13:20, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reminding me about the subst being required on this template. I'll try to remember on my own next time. Karl Hahn (T) (C) 04:37, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No harm done :) --Closedmouth (talk) 04:39, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dapto High School

Yeah, I didn't see anything for that anon to warrant a block. Then I saw the pattern of edits at the Dapto High School, so I've protected the article for a month. Hopefully, that addresses the situation better than a block would (since they'd just move on to the next IP). —C.Fred (talk) 05:33, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:206.213.251.31 - incorrect TW vandal warning?

I don't normally follow up these things, but after seeing a personal attack left by User:206.213.251.31 on User:Scarian's talk page ([2]), I had a look through his contributions, and then at his talk page. However, it seems that one warning on his talk page, from you, may be incorrect. Specifically, this warning, regarding edits to Flat Earth Society. However, this user's only edit to that article is this, which is removing vandalism. Would you be able to review the edit, and, if you feel your warning was incorrect (I assume it was an accident in Twinkle, rather than a genuine malicious intent on your part - mistakes are easily made), would you be able to retract it? Again, sorry for bothering you with such a trivial thing. --Dreaded Walrus t c 22:02, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

I appreciate the welcome notice. Just little ol' me tagging and bagging vandals before I hit the sack since I'm too lazy to sign in and I'd basically retired from that sort of thing in the first place. Oh, well. Some habits are hard to break.  :) Happy new year! PMDrive1061 via --71.102.80.39 (talk) 09:41, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • No problem whatsoever. I'm glad to see that there are still some users on this site with class enough to welcome another user. A user whom I'm familiar just hung an ID template on the talk page. I guess I'll need to sign in for future NPP, but I probably won't be back for a little while. I might be back sooner than later to prepare another old article of mine for parsing over to Veropedia. Anyway, take care. It's late here and I'm finally getting sleepy, thank goodness. --71.102.80.39 (talk) 09:58, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
