Check Point page edits

Why are you removing truthful data from the Check Point page? I see similar information on the Cisco, Netscreen and other company pages. Why is Check point being singled out by Wiki? If you want to edit the page, why not remove the inaccuracies instead? Please restore the edits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.184.226.122 (talkcontribs)

Lobojo attacked me

I did not attack anybody. I was just using a popular expression. Lobojo attacked me when he made fun of my name when he undid my changes! —Preceding unsigned comment added by SeanSokandro (talkcontribs)

while you're making changes to the Under The Mountain page...

Can you also add in the screenshots that I was trying to add in but couldn't?

you can find the location of the screenshots on a version of the page that a bot automatically reversed for some reason.

I think they're very relevant to that page as they give a visual aspect to the description of the series.

Thanks

Never Said That!

I never said you criticised my opinions. I said it was funny that you threw the rulebook in my face regarding my objections toward the rulebook. Go ahead and fucking block me. It just makes you twice as immature. Silence the ones standing up to you.

Note on SBXLII Spaygate Followup

I was putting a new link in on the story, and a redirect to "Spygate", this one from FoxSports. Please leave it alone, damn it. NoseNuggets (talk) 2:51 AM US EST Feb 3 2008

  • This was not a personal comment, the story broke on February 2, and I was adding information about it, and was putting "more info" on that particular item, as well as a new link from FoxSports.com about that phase of the story as well as the denial. XStudio

Hi Gwernol. I'm not sure to understand why my article about XStudio has been deleted. I tried to follow all the Wikipedia rules and started from a template used in an existing article about a very comparable product: TestLink. XStudio and Testlink are very similar tools (both free, both have almost the same list of features, both dealing with test management). I tried to use the same content organization for my article about XStudio. Could you point me out what's wrong specifically in mine?
Thanks,
--Egavaldo (talk) (XStudio's developer).

Thanks!

pardon me master

but if you check out User:ILike2BeAnonymous edits, they are very similar and they just are not considered to be personal attacks. Fair is fair right? There's nothing attacking about my edits either. I was merely verbalizing my frustrations at an editor which seemed unfamiliar in a belligerent manner towards the wikipedia norms. He seemed to be deficient. I find you to be very proficient, am I now attacking you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Boomgaylove (talkcontribs)

Question about Kaleidoquiz

How is this annual event not important or significant? Would i need to include the line, "This annual event is significant because.."? Any feedback would be appreciated. Crimsonriot (talk) 22:06, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ski Pole Javelin

Hi i notice that you have deleted my article on Ski Pole Javelin before i could finish writing up the article, your reason been that it is meaningless, or incomprehensible. I dont understand how you came to this conclusion. Ski Pole Javelin is fast becoming a fun past time with the first of many tournment beening held in Les Deux Alpes in the French Alpes on tuesday 4th March 2008. Any response would be much appreciated. Regards Jonnys882 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonnys882 (talkcontribs) 22:47, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added ref to journal

Hope that you will agree that the ref to this journal is relevant. A great enry in wikipedia. Still alot to do - the world of games is so vast --Simulationgaming (talk) 23:03, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What about a resources list?

You said: I'm sorry but all you are doing is advertising that journal. It is fine to use a specific journal article as a cited source for information added to an article, but it is not okay to use an external link simply to promote the journal itself. I suggest you read our guidelines on external links more carefully. Thanks, Gwernol 23:16, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

If I cite articles from the journal, the list will be very long. How does one indicate that a journal exists, without promoting it? It is mostly for the benefit of wiki readers. The more they know about games, the better for all. Thanks. --Simulationgaming (talk) 23:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you reverted your deletion of that Stanford Ed Corner link. At this point, I am not convinced that its appropriate. While its probably better than most of the junk that gets added, the user has been adding this link to just about every business page on WP. Its gone from being about entrepreneurship to marketing to globalization. In fact, there is already a page about the institute and I think the link would be more appropriate there. Just my thoughts, but I am going to nix it unless you really really feel it needs to be there. Montco (talk) 23:47, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think you need to take another look at this IP's talk page - there's an epithet directed at you. In my view - that's a perm ban right there, but I'm not an admin so I can't take care of it. Just thought you should know. ArcAngel (talk) 02:57, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chuck

Although one regrets that it came to this, I must say that I think the block to be entirely appropriate. I am not at all sure that, should any disruption resume upon the block's expiration, a community ban might not be in order (even those editors who act entirely in good faith must be separated from the project where the net effect on the project of their contributions is negative and where it does not appear that that net effect is likely to change), but in the meanwhile I write only to offer my support for your rather boldly dealing with a situation that, Chuck's admirable intentions to the contrary notwithstanding, has consumed the time of too many editors toward no propitious end. Joe 07:49, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(What Joe said. (Oh how I wish I were half as eloquent as he). I've been following along, watching how the situation is handled, just for my own edification, since Chuck started editing. I can't think of any advice that hasn't already been given, so must concur with what has been suggested. -- Quiddity (talk) 21:30, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've created this article. The French equivalent article is a FA there, would like to get this to GA status initially, then FA in the longer term. I was wondering about the GA nomination process. I don't think I'm experienced enough to do it myself, and wondered if you might give the article a look / start the process / comment on what needs fixing before the GA process can start. Mjroots (talk) 12:24, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its kinda funny, I was angry as you reverted that edit to K.K.W.I.E.E.R, but as it has happened, another user redirected the other page to K.K.W.I.E.E.R the very same minute I did my edit. Wiki-overkill huh! Weltanschaunng 13:18, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dude/dandy

You have just reverted the redirect I created saying that a dandy is not the same as a dude. Please see the citation to a reliable source that I have placed on the dandy article. I am reinstating the redirect because the current dude article is too much of a dicdef per WP:NOT#DICT. Ok? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colonel Warden (talkcontribs) 11:06, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would Like Two Opinions

First, I reverted an edit at Final Destination (series) for being POVish. My revert and justification is here: [3] and I'm wondering if I'm correct in my judgment. Second of all, I have just made an article about a director here Ray Kellogg. Aside from this person, there is an entirely different Ray Kellogg who is an actor: [4]. Would the second one be article-worthy as well? I'm having my doubts as most of his roles are a few odd episodes of television shows and a few movie rolls where he goes uncredited. What're your thoughts? And thanks. :) -WarthogDemon 01:23, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stop deleting my edits with out reason

You have removed an edit of mine twice now with out reason given. I asked when I restored it that you give me a reason and you failed to do so. Wikipedia is for everyone, if you do not like what I put up have a reason for it. I included information that people in Ireland and the UK would find informative. This is the purpose of a dictionary. I have no problem with you removing info but tell me why!!! MacAodh (talk) 02:02, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Information I added is of significance in both Ireland and the UK especially as it is celebrated in both areas by many people. Just because it's not of American significance does not mean it is not of significance to others. It may be difficult to see the difference from your side of the fence but deal with it. Hello!

I have a question for you if you don't mind and, please, forgive me if I come across as ignorant of the ways of Wikipedia, even though I like to think that I'm not.
My question for you is whether or not account creation blocked included in someone's block description means that they can't create another account from the same IP address while they're blocked. The reason why I ask is because you recently blocked user Brexx (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) for 1 month due to copyvio issues. I suspect that he may be editing again under username Mimibianca (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) based on the fact that the vast majority of edits for both users are done on Touch My Body as well as their similar style of editing.
I can give you a list of diffs that I believe may prove the relation of these two usernames but I want to first wait and see whether or not it would even be possible for a blocked user to circumvent a block by creating another username.
Again, I apologize if I sound wiki-dumb when asking you these questions but thanks for listening.

Peace! SWik78 (talk) 19:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for responding so quickly and thanks for being willing to look into it. Just to let you know, it was this particular edit by Mimibianca that made me suspect something: specifically claiming to be new user on wikipedia and going on to say this is considered vandalism, you will be blocked if u continue. I can tell you 100% honestly that by the time I had logged my 7th or 8th edit I had absolutely no knowledge of vandalism that I could say something like you will be blocked if u continue.
Anyways, you look to be a fairly busy person so if you need me to do list some diffs or something else along those lines, by all means feel free to ask.
Thanks again. SWik78 (talk) 20:00, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Compare this edit by Brexx to this edit by Mimibianca. Other than both edits containing the same reference to being new on WP, notice how everything is written using lowerase characters, notice the ..., ??? and !!! rather than a single punctuation mark as well as no spaces after commas. SWik78 (talk) 20:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Thanks! SWik78 (talk) 20:48, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, it's me again. Sorry to bother you but something's just itching me and I can't leave this alone. The reason I noticed a similarity between the edits is because I've been involved with several issues on the Touch My Body article since it started and I am currently involved in a discussion with Mimibianca regarding the plot description of the video being included in the article. Mimibianca left this note on Touch My Body's talk page regarding his/her reasoning why the plot for the video should be included in the article, basically saying if Janet Jackson's video has a description this video should too. Please take a look here as to who added the plot description for the Janet Jackson video to begin with. Again, I understand that it can be a coincidence but I really do believe that the coincidences are adding up very quickly between these two. SWik78 (talk) 21:16, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate all your input, my good fellow. If there's something I can do for you in the future, even though I doubt there's something I can do that you can't do better, feel free to let me know.
Peace! SWik78 (talk) 21:49, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I think I'm itching way too much to brush this issue off. I will bring it to WP:SSP and see if I really am crazy (which wouldn't surprise me) or maybe there is something to my theory.
Thanks again! SWik78 (talk) 21:53, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if you don't want me to fix the Van Halen page, then please go ahead and do it. 85.90.148.140 (talk) 01:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You speed deleted a page which I had permission to copy. I posted the hangon notice, but apparently you completely ignored it. Can you please explain the purpose of the hangon notice if it is to be completely ignored? —Preceding unsigned comment added by DarthTed (talkcontribs) 12:26, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see you're getting involved

Hey there!

I see that you're getting somewhat involved in that Touch My Body article and Mimibianca (talk · contribs). As I suggested yesterday that I might, I started a case over at WP:SSP to get to the bottom of the issue of whether or not this is a sockpuppet of Brexx (talk · contribs). Check out Brexx's talk page to see how many images he/she uploaded relating to Mariah Carey and compare that to the number of images that Mimibianca is uploading. Again, it could be a minor coincidence all by itself but I have a hard time believing the possibility of all those coincidences occuring at the same time. SWik78 (talk) 15:58, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brexx's talk page is protected because he was misusing the unblock requests. Can you insert the warning for him or maybe unprotect the talk page temporarily? Thanks. SWik78 (talk) 16:51, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Thanks for the heads up on my omission. SWik78 (talk) 16:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hello, i need again your help if you have some free time!

hello, i ask you because you are more expert of me of wikipedia, now finally i posted in my talk page a request of "third opinion arbitration" and posted the title here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Third_opinion#Active_disagreements now the opinioners should answer in my talk page? and if they give me right, the other editor must let me edit what i was asking in the "third opinion request"? how many opinioners can answer?

Thanks. This diff set off a edit war on an article that has recently been to arbcom. I was just now taking a look at the issue again, and noticed the freshly minted sock tag on the user page and couldnt quickly confirm it. John Vandenberg (talk) 01:59, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
