Camp Rock 2 is the sequel to Camp Rock, a 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie. The musical is being written by Julie Brown, Paul Brown, Regina Hicks and Karen Gist. The movie is expected to be directed by Matthew Diamond and produced by Alan Sacks. Filming will begin on January, 2009. Camp Rock 2 is expected to air on Disney Channel in the Summer of 2009. Disney is currently holding auditions for back up dancers.

Plot

The Plot is said to tell the story of summer two years after the events of the first movie. While Shane's music career is taking off faster than the speed of light, the same can't be said for Mitchie or either of the other two devout members of the self-published band, Connect Three. In fact, Mitchie begins to feel like she can't even relate to Shane anymore as all he becomes is just a face in a magazine. Things just get worse when hotel heiress Roster Linsquashnan (Selena Gomez) sets her sights on Shane. Not used to not getting what she wants, she sets up a devious plan to fake a drowning and get mouth-to-mouth from Shane, hoping to effectively tear apart him and Mitchie. With no one else to lean on, Mitchie begins spending time with Nate, and finding she connects with him the same way she once connected with Shane two summers ago, and as the Midsummer Camp Rock Talent Show nears, a wordless agreement is made between them to perform Mitchie's new song she wrote to tell Shane she really loved him. Will Connect Three or Camp Rock ever be the same again? Not if Roster can help it!
