The Track Team

The Track Team is the company of the people who do Avatar's music. So far it only consists of Jeremy Zuckermann and Ben Wynn, I think... The information was in the source when the source was AvatarSpirit. *SIGN* 02:25, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Barnstar!

Thanks for the barnstar!!! Yeah admin work can get lonely, but protection is my favorite of all of them! And yes, hopefully one day you get to clean-up the dirt of Wikipedia :P « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 02:05, 26 September 2008 (UTC) NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 04:33, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

72.140.46.227 Changes

I am wondering why you are reverting 72.140.46.227 reverts of Cydebot. The anon user is essentially readding templates to pages that have been recreated, you are undoing those changes. I will be reverting your changes, as I am unsure as to why you have made them. Please get back to me. - NeutralHomerTalk 03:36, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK. - NeutralHomerTalk 03:38, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All right. Thanks for holding off temporarily. So anyway, a few days ago, there was a DCMA notice that Neilson filed. Wikipedia's legal counsel advised Wikipedia to remove all such content that was copied from Neilson[1]. I see that you were involved in said discussion, so I don't believe I need to go into more detail.
Anyway, this user was essentially doing a mass add in of blank templates. Since those templates have no use as of now, and possibly never will, I warned the user. The user was seemingly uncommunicative; he wiped his talk page and continued doing his additions of blank templates. II filed an WP:AIV request[2] and proceeded to revert. Administator "Academic Challenger" agreed with my AIV request and blocked the user, so I took that as a confirmation that my actions were correct.
Please, if you have questions, post away. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 03:49, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, in most cases, he was reverting to templates that were being or had been rebuilt. Like with WJAC-TV, the Johnstown template has been rebuilt, same with Hampton Roads, Pittsburgh, Anchorage, Harrisburg, among many others. He actually was saving us some work of having to readd the templates to pages.
While, yes, in some cases, he was adding blank templates, those will be rebuilt within the coming couple days. I would liked the anon user to have responded to your post on his talk page, that is unfortunate.
Would it be OK to revert the pages that have current, rebuilt templates and leave the others until those templates are made? - NeutralHomerTalk 03:54, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see that I might have epically failed :( I had no clue about this until a few minutes ago, and it seems I acted unknowingly against consensus. I did think these templates were empty from the few I viewed, but perhaps that wasn't the case with all of them.

I give you "permission" to revert all of my edits without prejudice and I hereby offer my apologies to you, the anonymous user, User:Academic Challenger, and any Wikiproject member who might have been affected by this. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 03:56, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, no worries :) It happens. I will revert the markets that have rebuilt templates and leave the others so we don't have red links. No need for apologizes, it happens to the best of us. Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk 03:58, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! :) Again, no worries. I did the same thing awhile back with some edits. It gives me a chance to try out my new playlist while I am working :) Thanks again...NeutralHomerTalk 04:08, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, at least some good has come out of this :) You get music and cleaner articles and I get carefullness added to my wiki-editing. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 04:09, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Couple of questions

I'm not exactly sure which of my reverts you were referring to. I only reverted that IP's edit on your talk page. I hope that was okay, since it was against WP:DTTR. Also, just out of curiosity, what was the reason behind reverting addition of those templates. LeaveSleaves (talk) 03:37, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I'm sorry. I was just responding to the IP at your talk page. I should have been less ambiguous. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 03:39, 27 September 2008 (UTC)![reply]

you just reverted a revert of vandalism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elfen_Lied <- go here, i was merely clearing off some vandalism. i had just read the novels and was looking into the wiki. the thing was copied and pasted several dozen times. after looking into the history i learned that the paged had been vandelised in the past, and when it was reverted your vandalism bot caught it. i even put in the summary that it was a false positive. if you would like to help, please do so as i do not want to start a revert war. 98.199.243.39 (talk) 04:24, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Doh. I saw that you put false positive, but I assumed bad faith (bad me) and thought you were a lying vandal. I have fixed the error, and can only offer you my humblest apologizes.
Thanks for helping out the Wiki and I hope you'll stay and perhaps try to improve a few articles (maybe? :) ) NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 04:28, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
when i get time i'll definately sign up an account, i have a little experience with wikis, so hopefully i'll be useful 98.199.243.39 (talk) 04:31, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, this relates to a matter I discussed with Neutral Homer earlier; it's all good (see 3 sections up). But thanks for letting me know anyway :) NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 04:50, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, what happened?, in "my watchlist" in Spanish wikipedia is out of order too! --Ravave (talk) 16:22, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
NW has no clue, hopes he didn't break the Spanish Wikipedia, and sends Ravave off to [3]. Make your bug report there please; I'm pretty sure it wasn't my actions to broke it and those people will be much better at helping you. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 16:24, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re message re New Page Patrolling

Hi. Curious, how do you know that I visit new pages yet don't mark them as patrolled?--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 02:00, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you tag an article for speedy deletion but not mark it patrolled :) NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 02:02, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Once, one makes an edit to an article (including tagging for speedy) the "mark as patrolled" link goes away. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 02:10, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes, but not always, especially when using twinkle. Could you just double check in the future? Thanks :) NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 02:15, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted account

Hi there,

I recently stayed at one of Eight Hotel Australia's hotels and I was impressed with the way the hotel looked and the way I was treated by the staff. After my stay I did some more research on the hotel chain, but when I got on Wikipedia to look for them, there was no article yet. So I decided to create one. After I was done it got deleted and I was told that I was advertising. How do I get around this, because as far as I'm concerned I only named facts and no opinions whatsoever. I hope you can explain what I am doing wrong.

Best wishes,

Ehkevin (talk) 04:00, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't what you wrote, it was more the way you wrote it. When you wrote it, you used phrasing such as "Eight Hotels Australia owns an eclectic collection of independently named boutique hotels defined by centralised management. Eight Hotels was formed in 2002 with the single vision to create Australia's finest privately owned boutique hotel collection."
This should have been written as "Eight Hotels Australia, founded in 2002, owns several different hotels around Australia."

Thanks for the bright idea

Thanks for the bright idea. In view of your post here, I modified the MfD listing instructions to read "If the user has not edited in a while, consider sending the user an email to notify them about the MfD if the MfD concerns their user pages." This helps address a common big complaint when nominating user pages for deletion. Thanks! -- Suntag 14:34, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You know, that isn't at all what I meant :P I meant, email a copy of the userpage to the user. But you also had a wonderful idea, and I commend you for thinking of that. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 21:41, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
