Audenshaw is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside in Greater Manchester, England. Lying close to the city of Manchester, Audenshaw lies south of Ashton-under-Lyne, east of Droylsden and north of Denton.
Audenshaw lies within the historic county boundaries of Lancashire.
History
In 1877, part of the original village of Audenshaw was demolished to make way for the three Audenshaw Reservoirs.

Landmarks
Notable buildings include the beautiful Ryecroft Hall which was donated to the people of Audenshaw by the local Member of Parliament, Austin Hopkinson in 1921, St. Stephen's Church and the Robertson's Jam factory.

There is only one secondary school in Audenshaw - Audenshaw School. However there are several primary schools:
