DMDirc is a Cross-platform Graphical IRC client written in Java and released under the terms of the MIT License, first released in 2007[2].
DMDirc was written primarily to run on Linux operating systems but also runs under BSD, Solaris, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.
DMDirc has a powerful "Actions" system[3] to allow for users to easily create automated responses a a wide variety of events using an easy to use GUI, aswell as a Plugin system[4][5] to allow developers to extend the client as they see fit using the Java programming language.
