This user, who you blocked on September 26 for "Personal attacks or harassment", has returned, and his only edits since his block have been to continue his harassment, by reverting edits and templating articles edited by myself, and by User:Hellbus. Hellbus and I were also the targets of this IP address's previous harassment as seen here and here. WuhWuzDat 21:52, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just reblocked him for one week. I hope he learns his lesson after his block expires. If not, he/she will be blocked for much longer and an abuse report may be filed with the ISP. Willking1979 (talk) 22:02, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. WuhWuzDat 22:03, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sadly unsurprised that this user has continued being unconstructive. As for learning his lesson, I have my doubts. This user has been blocked many times on multiple IPs with no significant change in behavior, except perhaps that he doesn't put a space before exclamation marks anymore. Hellbus (talk) 18:46, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hellbus: Do you have any diffs showing the sockpuppetry? If so, I'll consider opening an SPI case. Willking1979 (talk) 18:58, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See User talk:JeremyA/Archive11#Your block of 78.130.205.196 and the section right below it. Since that time, 217.10.252.131 and 80.80.132.156 also edited in a strikingly similar fashion (tendentious editing, article ownership, near-incomprehensible grammar, trolling). I wouldn't be surprised if those and the ones listed on JeremyA's talk page were all proxies used by the same individual. In the words of Henry David Thoreau, "Some circumstantial evidence is very strong, as when you find a trout in the milk."Hellbus (talk) 01:03, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just filed a SPI/Checkuser case here. Hopefully we'll have more answers as the case progresses. Willking1979 (talk) 11:39, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That case was declined due to most of the IPs being inactive for a relatively long period of time. Doing an open proxy check might do more good, but I don't know how to do that. Hellbus (talk) 02:59, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TalkBack, Dawn News

Hi. You deleted a page title "TalkBack, Dawn News". It still shows up though in the search engines such as google and yahoo and wikipedia itself and says it was deleted. Can you remove this page entirely from the web? If you can do so that would be great!! It causes great confusion! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.20.29.116 (talk) 08:31, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We have no control over the search engines...their bots index pages every so often and from time to time they crawl a Wikipedia entry which was later deleted. However, you can ask Google and Yahoo to remove the entry from its results. Thanks, Willking1979 (talk) 09:50, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Got another Dingbat2007 sock who is causing problems on the WAGA-TV article. It was just an addition of a errant "1" on the page (still vandalism), but normally the start of something. You were the blocking admin previously, would you mind having a look? Thanks...NeutralHomerTalk22:07, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is only one warning at this time. I am waiting until the user edits again before I would block or take other actions. I will monitor the page carefully as well. Willking1979 (talk) 22:17, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, thanks! :) - NeutralHomerTalk22:20, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. :) Willking1979 (talk) 22:21, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Erm... oops

Earlier you very kindly deleted Sex Panic! based on my G7 tag. I thought I was tagging the user subpage on which I created it, not realizing I'd moved it from there to mainspace and that clicking on the subpage link was redirecting me to the page in article space. Fail. Would you be able to restore the article? Having gone to the trouble of getting the thing ready for a GA nom I feel a bit silly having it obliterated. Gonzonoir (talk) 13:56, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Restoration of all edits complete...speedy tag removed from article upon restoration of all edits. Willking1979 (talk) 14:00, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks. The whole episode has reminded me why I never usually bother tidying up after myself ;) Gonzonoir (talk) 14:08, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Danni Minogue

You seem like a calm, sensible guy. Can you take a look at my post on Talk:Dannii Minogue and if you can manage it respond. --BRFC98 (talk) 21:46, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User talk:J.delanoy‎

Could you semi-protect User talk:J.delanoy‎ please? It is getting ALOT of ongoing vandalism. Just need to keep the anons out. - NeutralHomerTalk00:50, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, MZMcBride took care of it. - NeutralHomerTalk00:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the heads up...I noticed the IP-hopping vandal on the watchlist. Not sure who is behind this mess. Willking1979 (talk) 00:53, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

edit conflict

I do not think you should have deleted an article as lacking context or content when it is in the first stages of being written, less the 30 minutes after it was started . As it happens, I was just moving HIV Protease Inhibitors: Drug Discovery and Development to a modified title at the same time you were deleting it, so there is now a copy of it at HIV Protease Inhibitors drug discovery and development I think this article is somewhat likely to be a problem, but I will work with the author. DGG ( talk ) 20:27, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If there were improvement tags on the article at the time like there are now, I would have kept it. There are Wikipedians out there that see that type of article and proclaim "delete this article now." I believe that was the case earlier this morning--some editor jumped the gun and placed a speedy tag. Authors should place improvement or similar tags alongside the speedy or simply contest the speedy tag. If there are indeed reliable sources to back up the article in the coming days, it should be kept. However, if there is little or no improvement during this time period, the article should be up for deletion. Willking1979 (talk) 20:43, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
