The Audi R4 is a small sports car speculated[1] to be made by Audi sometime in the near future. Audi has yet to make any official statement regarding the R4. Some reports suggest the vehicle could be made in collaboration with SEAT.[2]

Some of the vehicles it may compete with include the Lotus Elise, BMW Z4 (and M variants), and the Porsche Cayman and Boxster. The vehicle will be the second Audi model to hold the 'R' moniker, after the R8. Like the R8, it will be a mid-engine coupé that will seat 2. A roadster version will also be available. If the R4 is indeed a part Audi's plans for the future, it will likely enter production by 2010. Other rumours suggest that this project is in fact the third-generation TT.[3]
