I am a 20-year-old student at New York University, majoring in Russian and Computer Science with minors in physics and maths. I am from Nutley, New Jersey which is about 15 miles west of New York City.

I am of Polish, Ukrainian, English, Welsh, and Italian descent, which makes me interested in all of those regions. I spent a lot of time in England growing up, and I have also travelled to Poland, Czech Republic,Spain, Andorra, France, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, and many Caribbean countries. I am an avid chef and baker, and I also like athletics, particularly fencing, football, basketball, and running.

Music

I have a passion for music (I play piano and French horn), and of course, I have diverse tastes. My favourite artists are ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of the Dead, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Belle & Sebastian, Blur, David Bowie, Chanticleer, The Clientele, the Decemberists, Bob Dylan, Glenn Gould, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell, Mogwai, Alanis Morissette, Muse, Queen, Radiohead, R.E.M., The Rolling Stones, Savage Garden, Sigur Ros, Simon & Garfunkel, Spoon, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the Verve. I don't have any Celtic artists listed there, but I do love Celtic music (think bagpipes and Uilleann pipes).

Books

Since I ripped a lot of this off of my Facebook, I guess I'll include my favourite books. They are: The Eyre Affair, The Life of Pi, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Pride and Prejudice, Freakonomics, The Alienist, The Angel of Darkness, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Wicked, I, Claudius, Over My Dead Body, and The Poisonwood Bible, Mастер и Маргарита and Sorstalanság. Of course, I enjoy the works of J.K. Rowling and Tolkien, however, I think my favourite author is Caleb Carr (with Jasper Fforde a close second).
