November 2009

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Smurfing (online gaming). Blank pages are malicious to Wikipedia as they often confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the deletion process for how to proceed. Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Bucksnort, Tennessee. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 17:12, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE UNBLOCK

Sir or Ma'am,

This shared IP belongs to thousands of service members deployed in the Middle-East. (Camp Arifjan, Kuwait)

There is (1) bad apple here, who appears to have a war with User SpinningSpark.

The thousands of service members deployed here are all not able/willing to open individual accounts just to make minor edits to pages or casualy use the encyclopedia. This is extremely unfair. Tours here typically last 6-12 months. With the current block SpinningSpark has applied, folks may never even have the chance to make constructive edidts. There is a reason why the person who has been blocked dosen't have a user page. Please unblock at soonest opertunity to allow future access to this valubale resource.

  • I have unblocked, but should vandalism happen again then it's unlikely anyone will be lenient in the future. Therefore, make it known to everyone that they should not muck about on Wikipedia, and further they should be encouraged to register their own accounts ASAP so if the IP is blocked again they can still edit. NJA (t/c) 10:48, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • To emphasise that, if there is any further vandalism from this IP, however minor, it will be reblocked immediately without any further warning. As I explained to you on my talk page, I am also declining the request to semi-protect since only one IP is involved. If you do find yourself shut out, you can request an account, but there is no guarantee the request will be granted, so do it now. Oh, and removing vandalism and trolling is not edit warring. SpinningSpark 13:26, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re-blocked

I had unblocked your IP, and then you went to continue being disruptive by forum shopping and posting the same messages on multiple persons' pages. Not only that, but you again attacked the same admin editor on their talk page (1st time and 2nd time). You were right that it's not fair that potentially a lot of service men and women be blocked from editing, however you obviously didn't truly care as you continued to be disruptive using the same IP rather than creating your own account as I had warned you to do. Thus it's no one's fault but your own. NJA (t/c) 13:40, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:16, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive?

Asking Spinningspark to block the page that someone from this IP continues to vandalise is not disruptive. Responding to a personal attack "my unit and my country are to blame" is not disruptive.

Are you aware that you can't even create a persoanl account now since the whole IP is blocked?

What is wrong with you people. I'm going to our network manager and contacting the top brass at wikipedia. I promise you this will not stand.
