Jordan Lloyd (born November 21, 1986) is an American reality television participant, and in 2009 was named as the winner of the eleventh season of Big Brother.[1].

Early Life

Lloyd was born and grew up in Matthews, North Carolina. She has one brother and one sister. [2] Before entering the Big Brother house, she was working as a waitress, and was living with her mother and her brother at a family member's home after her parents divorce left the family without enough money to keep their family home. [3]

Big Brother

Lloyd entered the Big Brother house in 2009 for the eleventh season of the show, becoming part of the "Popular" clique. She made an early and close bond with fellow HouseGuest Jeff Schroeder, which would result in the pair working together for the whole game. Lloyd was nominated twice early on in the game, but survived both times with her friends Laura Crosby and Casey Turner both being evicted instead of her. She won her first Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions both in Week 6, resulting in the elimination of Lydia Tavera. [4] Jordan was nominated twice more towards the end of the game, resulting in the evictions of both of her remaining allies - Schroeder [5] and Michele Noonan. [6] In the final three, Lloyd finally convinced the other houseguests she was capable of doing things for herself in the game, winning the final Head of Household competition and evicting Kevin Campbell. In the end, she was named the winner of the series, beating Natalie Martinez by a vote of 5-2, winning $500,000. [1] She gained the votes of Schroeder, Noonan, Tavera, Jessie Godderz and America's Vote, losing only the votes of Campbell and Russell Kairouz. Lloyd was well received by the audience of the show during the season, with her and Schroeder being described as two of the most popular houseguests in years. At the 2009 Fox Reality Awards, the pair were given the award for "Favorite Duo". [7]

The Amazing Race

Later in 2009, rumours appeared online that Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder would be appearing on the upcoming 2010 edition of reality show The Amazing Race. [8] Their position was later confirmed when the cast list was revealed, with the pair being labelled as "Newly Dating." [9] Jordan and Jeff won the first leg of the race, and came 6th in the second leg. They are currently one of nine pairs still in the race.

Personal Life

Lloyd stated after winning Big Brother that the first thing she was going to do after her half-million dollar win was to put a down-payment on a house for her and her family. [10] Following their appearence on Big Brother, Lloyd confirmed that she is now dating fellow contestant Jeff Schroeder. [11]
