Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect intellectual property rights - do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view when editing articles - this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! I also suggest reading WP:OVERLINK and MOS:UNLINKYEARS because a number of your edits have not been helpful in that the abused wikilinks.-Andrew c [talk] 00:52, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Internal links
Hi 15lsoucy, and welcome! I noticed that many of your recent edits have been to add internal links (links that direct to other pages within Wikipedia). Many of them have been reverted, probably because they are seen as 'overlinking'. Take a look at the Wikipedia Manual of Style for links under the 'Internal links' section, for the guidelines for editors; you may find it helpful. If you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page. Once again welcome, and don't stop editing! - Gump Stump (talk) 16:51, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks
Thanks for your kind words! I'm always glad to do what I can--contributing to the understanding of subjects like Dante is what the work around here is supposed to be all about, after all (at least as I see it)! Don't hesitate to be in touch if I can be of any use. Wareh (talk) 13:00, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Hello. I see you recently created a disambiguation page, linked above. As it has no blue links in it, it is likely to be deleted, per WP:MOSDAB. I've PRODded it, but if you intend to create article for these people/link them on the dab, then just remove the prod and add the links. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 15:10, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- Done. --15lsoucy (talk) 18:43, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Your rollback request
Hello 15lsoucy, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 23:02, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Tatenen
A tag has been placed on Tatenen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi. I saw your page :D and did some stuff on Tatenen, like refs and such :) If you could add other info in, as well as citations for
- With his staff he repelled the evil serpent Apep from the Primeval Mound and had a magical mace dedicated to the falcon. That mace was in some places venerated as "The Great White of the Earth Creator". He brought the Djed-pillars of stability to the country.
that would be pretty cool! have a good day! mathwhiz29 02:16, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- yeah, cept I don't know if that counts as a significant/trusted source; if there were maybe a cite from the original source, like where you found it? mathwhiz29 00:21, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- I am afraid I can't find it, but the text is exactly the same. --15lsoucy (talk) 01:21, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

15lsoucy's Life Story
Yeah, there use to be the lyrics to the Prince of Bel Air pasted here, but read the notice below. --15lsoucy (talk) 03:01, 3 December 2009 (UTC) Notice: lyrics created after 1922 are usually copyright-protected; the Prince of Bel Air is no exception. I, User:Duncan, have removed these lyrics and they should not be restored as this site only accepts free content. —Duncan (that's me!)What I Do / What I Say 02:55, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Aegialeia
A tag has been placed on Aegialeia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Vandalism
Glad to help! Wareh (talk) 00:03, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Bill Nye: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned.
You recently reverted vanadalism by 24.98.181.162. However, you did not place a warning on his/her talk page. It is great when alert wikieditors like yourself revert vandalism to help maintain the integrity of the Wikipedia project. However, the other half of recent changes patrol is giving an appropriate warning to the vandalizing editor. These can be found at WP:UTM. Thanks and happy vandalism patrol! — SpikeToronto 00:50, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Lyrics above
Hey; I just wanted to clear up the fact that I did not remove them to be mean or in anyway hurtful. Please accept my apologies if this was what was perceived. —Duncan (that's me!)What I Do / What I Say 05:11, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- No, it was perfectly fine, I know it was your job to fix it, and I do't realize why I didn't realize it was against copyright. Some person copy-pasted it here. Thanks for keeping Wikipedia copyright-violation-free. --15lsoucy (talk) 23:57, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Quick note
Hey, thanks for the support and kind words! Just one thing; it seems that you removed RMHED's vote, perhaps accidentally. If possible could you reinstate it pending an explanation for his post? Cheers. –Juliancolton | Talk 01:30, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

The destruction of the frigate USS UNITED STATES is a similar event to the Battle of New Orleans. The start of the untimely scrapping of the frigate was December, 1865 but was completed in January 1866. The song Battle of New Orleans indicates American forces meeting the British in 1814 but the Battle of New Orleans took place 1815. Reason: The Vangard of the British met American Forces in December of 1814 but because the British waited for re-enforcements, which didn't arrive until January of 1815, the Battle of New Orleans took place in January of that year.
