Your GA nomination of Nawa-I-Barakzayi District

The article Nawa-I-Barakzayi District you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Nawa-I-Barakzayi District for things which need to be addressed. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 13:31, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No need to copy the notice here!! –– Jezhotwells (talk) 22:38, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for taking the time to review my article. I will be posting updates as I make corrections on the Good Article Nomination page. Palm_Dogg (talk) 20:00, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed everything except the history section (which I'm working on right now). Do you want to review the other issues you had with the page just so I know they're good? Palm_Dogg (talk) 18:34, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ulysses S. Grant

We are making clean up edits and adding better narrative. I suppose the main issue is whether the USG article should have a separate Civil War section. The War articles are summarized, however, to summarize more would take away neccessary details. Thanks for reviewing the article. {Cmguy777 (talk) 20:56, 6 April 2010 (UTC)}[reply]

Improvements have been made to the USG article. The narration is better and many of the areas needing work have been fixed. If you could give a progress report, that would be beneficial to getting USG to GA status. {Cmguy777 (talk) 00:00, 11 April 2010 (UTC)}[reply]
The USG article has been edited by a copyrighter. I am going through the article to clean up the citations and narration. {Cmguy777 (talk) 06:02, 12 April 2010 (UTC)}[reply]

I responded to your comments on the GA review page. I appreciate your time. --William S. Saturn (talk) 16:43, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I responded, but please take note that I strongly objected to some of your suggestions. --William S. Saturn (talk) 21:15, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That was the worst review ever. Thanks for nothing. --William S. Saturn (talk) 03:20, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 08:27, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's not too late to correct your error. --William S. Saturn (talk) 23:00, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What error is that? It appears that you failed to read (or comprehend) the queries that I raised in the review? Anyway, let us see what the next reviewer says. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 23:54, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's the reviewer's responsibility to make sure he is clear and specific. This is where you failed. --William S. Saturn (talk) 00:14, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think you could go over this again so I know what's been fixed to standard? Thanks, Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 23:17, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please. =) Ks0stm If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. 20:07, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spain problems with dashbot

Hi- I noticed your alert to Tim for the Spain problem. I'll try to fix it for you, Spain is listed 3-4 times on 2 different dashbot pgs, I'm pretty sure that's causing the problem. --Funandtrvl (talk) 00:40, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. If you need me to do something, please shout. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 00:44, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Jezhotwells. You have new messages at User_talk:DASHBot/Wikiprojects#Two_bots_currently_running.

Thanks for the review. As per your suggestion at the Morgaon GA review, I had listed all my current GA nominations at the Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests. Considering the current GAN status and your comments, User:NielsenGW has already started the copyedit. --Redtigerxyz Talk 14:12, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:NielsenGW has completed the copyedit. Please check. --Redtigerxyz Talk 15:51, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the pass and the quote. --Redtigerxyz Talk 04:42, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GA Reviews

I see you've officially got 40 reviews now for the April drive. That's really impressive. Congrats! Torchiest (talk | contribs) 18:25, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - I'm still disappointed about there being no cars given away as prizes though! :-) –– Jezhotwells (talk) 18:28, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jim Moran GA nomination

I attempted to address the points you brought up on the article talk page, I hope that these issues (along with some others I found while editing) have been addressed by my recent edits. ~BLM Platinum (talk) 19:34, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jezhotwells. I've deleted your sandbox page as requested. In future, you can tag pages in your own userspace for speedy deletion, using the criterion U1. Similarly, if you are the only substantial contributor to a page, and you want it deleted, you can tag it with criterion G7. Hope it's of assistance. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 00:32, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I forgot about U1. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 00:34, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Park Grill GAC

Can you explain to me what is going on with the history of Park Grill. It seems to have failed WP:GAC twice (1st time, 2nd time). The T:AH does not reflect this. What is going on?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:37, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The original reviewe, User:Nascar1996, said that they were going to fail it, then chnaged their mind, removed themselves from the review at WP:GAN and it was relisted by, I think Wizardman. I decided to ignore the previous review and go through it agian. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 16:41, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was concerned because the response at WP:FTQ is that we have until June 13, to make this into a WP:GA. Thanks for the explanation.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 17:02, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I think I've corrected all of the problems you listed with the article in its GA review. Could you check the article to see if you have anymore concerns? Thanks, Crystal Clear x3 [talk] 17:00, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to bother you again.Just to let you know this is a personal vendetta against me by the user 86.185.105.181 yet it was noodnood (the same person) who set the page up in the first place! Its very childish as he keeps asking for citations then removes the citations! Its just a childish retaliation.,which you must see alot of on here, yet its even more hurtfull when its about one-self. I never asked for this page to be set up,it was done by noodnood!please can you help?

Homiesexual (talk) 18:13, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think that you have been told before at editors' assistance/Requests that the place to ask for help about this is at the Biographies of living persons noticeboard. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 18:17, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

re: Development of Watchmen

Yes, I'm reviewing it. The page was moved per my suggestions at the GA review. Next time you may want to check contrib history. María (habla conmigo) 19:36, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But the talk page wasn't moved, I will fix that. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 19:40, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. :) María (habla conmigo) 21:38, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GAN

I already reviewed the article, but it appears that the article was moved to a new name and the review was not carried over. I have already corrected it. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 20:26, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, that explains it. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 20:30, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GA Backlog Elimination Drive Stats

Hi. First, I want to thank you for helping put on the backlog drive. It has inspired me to organize a similar drive with the Guild of Copy Editors as they have an 8000 article backlog for copyediting. I've cloned the page, but I don't know how to set up the statistics reporting that you did, which is fantastic, by the way. Can you tell me how to go about doing that? Thanks! ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 07:47, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Did you miss this? Or am I getting the cold shoulder? heh ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 12:05, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all - I didn't organise the drive - User:MuZemike and User:Wizardman did. I just update the figures from the report and have added a graph. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 12:29, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, okay. I'll talk to them, then. Thanks. ɳorɑfʈ Talk! 17:55, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Martha Layne Collins

Thanks for your GA review of Martha Layne Collins. I've responded to your concerns. Sorry I didn't drop you a note earlier. Let me know if more work is needed before passing the article. Acdixon (talk contribs count) 14:50, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He did, but I did notice a couple of days later and the concerns are being worked upon. In fact, it could probably be passed tomorrow, but there are still things that need fixing. THey will be though, in the next week or so (see reviewer's talkpage). - Jarry1250 [Humorous? Discuss.] 16:34, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Moran for GA

I ran down through the remainder of your checklist, and have completed the following...

  • Moran's support for harsher bankruptcy law provisions and sponsorship of harsher bankruptcy legislation brought allegations in 2002 that his support came in return for financial favors by financial institutions which could benefit from such laws. two close uses of "harsher". Can you find another word for one of the instances?  Done This was one of the first things I did, I don't know why you still have it down as "not down".
  • In January 1998, one month before he introduced the legislation, credit card bank MBNA advocated that would restrict the ability of consumer debtors to declare bankruptcy. Better to say "... MBNA advocated that it would restrict ..."  Done
  • Moran received a favorable debt consolidation loan from MBNA that allowed him to personally avoid bankruptcy due to credit card and stock market losses. Better would be "... that allowed him to avoid personal bankruptcy arising from credit card and stock market losses."  Done I used the text which you recommended.
  • I tagged one dead link, ref #8 [3].  Done (sort of) This one was very difficult, as the Progressive Caucus Website has been taken down for some reason. Hopefully I can replace the old reference once the new one is up. For I am using some news articles which I painstakingly found via Google News.

Please tell me if anything else in the article needs work. ~BLM Platinum (talk) 20:09, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alejo Carpentier says thanks! Well, no. He'd say Gracias... but, yea...

Hello Jezhotwells,

I'm part of the student group that is working on the Alejo Carpentier biography page and just wanted to thank you for reviewing the article and for the feedback, it's insanely helpful. We'll clean up our act and resubmit!

Thanks again!--Josiemitchell (talk) 21:25, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
