Line spacing in the matrix

Welcome to Wikipedia

the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit

I need to reduce the spacing between each line of bulleted items above. How can this be done? --Go for it! 22:58, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Use HTML markup for the list and give the <li> elements appropriate style attributes. Or (get someone to) edit MediaWiki:Common.css. But I have to ask, why? The box looks just fine to me. Whitespace is an important part of stylish and legible design, you know, not some horrible waste of paper that needs to be abolished at all cost. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 23:27, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Which style attributes will work for this? Will you show me in the above code? --Go for it! 08:09, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, "margin: -0.25em 0;" seems to work fairly well. See above. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 15:17, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{{TIME}}

Hi Ilmari, I have added some alternate wording to the template for usage in non-TIME articles. I think there is a valid fair use argument in many cases, and the template needs to be tightened up. I think we agree on that. Any thoughts on the alternate wording? Hopefully we can arrive at something workable. --Cactus.man 14:04, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes II: The Sequel

Thanks for fixing up the userboxes on my userboxes page. Although I'm wondering why the userboxes themselves were deleted by Wikipedia. - nathanrdotcom (TalkContribs) 21:07, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes 3: The Return

Thanks for fixing up my Babel box. Very much appreciated. --Closedmouth 01:01, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ummm...

Is there a particualr reason you felt the need to reformat my userpage? I was under the impression that was sort of frowned upon in the wikiverse. Dlayiga 01:44, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You had a deleted template (Template:User cannabis) in your Babel box. I (my script, actually) replaced it with code that produces an equivalent result without using the template. To do this, it had to expand your Babel box as well, since there's no other way to replace an entry within a Babel-n box with a non-template version. If you don't like the change, feel free to revert it. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 01:54, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
oh. ok. sorry. I didn't understand exactly waht changes you made. which userbox got deleted? Dlayiga 02:27, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
this link should help illustrate what was changed. The 'cannabis' one was changed. ;) - nathanrdotcom (TalkContribs) 03:23, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for helping me with my user boxes cheers! Empty2005 06:43, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Leave my home page alone!

For some reason you screwed around with my home page and marked it as deleted. PLease don't do this again. -Paul 07:38, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your home page wasn't marked as deleted: the atheist userbox included on it was. I see Ambuj.saxena has removed it now. I would've fixed it myself, but it wasn't listed here as requiring fixing. This is what you page looked like before I "screwed around" with it. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 12:35, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks
