Gaviidae Common is a shopping mall and office complex located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, off the Nicollet Mall. It is anchored by Neiman Marcus on one end and a Saks Off Fifth on the other. The complex is spread over two city blocks, and is connected to the Minneapolis Skyway System. It is attached to the Wells Fargo Center, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Minneapolis. Gaviidae Common was built on the former site of the flagship Donaldson's department store, which was destroyed by the Thanksgiving Day fire of 1982.
The national retailers in the mall include Jos. A. Bank, Radio Shack, Ann Taylor, Talbots, and Caribou Coffee, which are joined by local choices including jv & Company, Aveda-founder's Juut Salon/Salon and Indulge & Bloom florist.
Over the years the center has seen much of its retail space converted into office space.
