Death Date

There are death rumors going on about Jackie right now and there is a death date on the article! I've seen a source but you can't call it a reliable one... 98.223.65.209 (talk) 10:55, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Communist Party affiliation

According to Chinese Communist Party news reports, Chan is a member of the Party. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.7.114.130 (talk) 13:44, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please cite references. Gram123 (talk) 15:54, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Training

Isnt it true that he is a stunt man trained in the Beijing opera and has no true or formal martial arts trainjing, aside from what he got on set? 168.156.166.222 (talk) 19:54, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe Chan has had a variety of "formal" training, though I don't think he has been done competetive martial arts training. For exalhkhjkhkhmple, didn't he and other HK actors train in Hapkido in South Korea? Once again, before editing the article with such claims (either way), you'll need to include valid external references. Gram123 (talk) 15:54, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Influence Chuck Norris?

come on! Chuck Norris is slow and karateca, Jackie is FAST! kung fu practicant and ORIGINAL STYLE!, and Jackie Chan is CHinese! NOT asia-american! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Albertopinczo (talkcontribs) 04:44, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Martial Artist Acomplishments

Bruce Lee's page goes into significant detail about his training and his abilities as a martial artist. Why is there no such listing for Jackie Chan? If I'm not mistaken he's won awards and knows several styles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Grimbear13 (talkcontribs) 16:42, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jackie Chan Shot

A unique shot that started out in West Hollywood, and has influences of an Asian version of a boilermaker. It consists of a shot of Jack Daniel's Whiskey, a splash of Kikoman's,ginger,nd a shot glass rimmed with wasbi. Its smooth malty finish of soy suce makes it the perfect compliment to the sharp cut of a good whiskey. It has derived it's name from the action movie star, Jackie Chan during his first American released film. The Jackie shot has been known to be the favorites of any well-known names such as Pope Benedict XVII, Sinbad, and Liza Minelli. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.197.147.190 (talk) 20:23, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ORigin

Is it true that JC is basically black? He looks Cinese to me. My brother told me he was from Africa. Is it true? Thank you! 79.238.222.3 (talk) 18:11, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New stuff goes at the bottom. Your brother is mistaken. Also, being from Africa does not mean a person is automatically black (see White Africans of European ancestry), and being black does not mean a person is from Africa (see Black people). Ian.thomson (talk) 18:36, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

you just said that JC was from Africa, but on the article it said he was born in Hong Kong. where was he really born?
