Jewish?

I don't know if this is important or not, but wikipedia does have a category for Jewish comedians. If someone who is autoconfirmed wants to throw a shout out to Jewish people, you could add a category listing to the bottom of the page. On-set Rant

He was filmed on set of a movie called 'Brand Dead' freaking out at crew. The clip was captured by MovieSet.com and appeared on TMZ.com, Cnn.com and many other sites. A CNN commentator called it a staged rant to create attention and other references pointed out other publicity stunts. Should this be included? Weasel

I have to admit I'm no Pauly Shore-ologist, but I thought his catchphrase was "Hey, buuuuddee". How did he use "weasel" in a sentence? --Arteitle 18:48, Dec 17, 2004 (UTC)

He doesn't really use it in a sentence, it's more of an interjection. The most common variation is "we-E-easel", where he squeaks out the "E", accompanied with the wiggling of all the fingers on one outstretched hand. It's in virtually every movie. I seem to recall him and Stephen Baldwin play-fighting with their weasel hands in Bio-Dome, too. Thanks for the copyedits, by the way. --M @r ē ino 19:15, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)

One variation is to "wease" (or "wheeze" or some other spelling), meaning to "mooch, snaffle, abscond, steal". In Encino Man, Stoney (Pauly) drinks Slush Puppie straight out of the machine, which is referred to as "weasing the juice". Maikel (talk) 12:17, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minding The Store / Shore

TV series "Pauly"

The article states that the his TV series Pauly "aired one episode, which ranks among one of the lowest rated episodes of a television show in history. It was cancelled the next day; in some markets, the show was cut off in mid-episode and replaced by either reruns of other shows, commercials, or a test pattern."

Since I don't know the fact, I won't bother editing this, but I do know that they showed at least three episodes before pulling the plug. Someone who knows more about this needs to look into it and correct this. --Bacteria 09:45, 13 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Giving back money

Why did someone remove my addition of Pauly giving money for people watching his show? Maybe someone more skilled and fluent in the English language could reedit them for me? Pauly had a deal in where you watched the show, and if you didnt like it you write him a letter or email telling him you think it sucks, and he will give you money. It was for the first 250,000 people a dollar each, I dont know how many people took this up, but I am guessing since it was cancelled it was all of them. --The great grape ape is straight out of the know 01:00, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Punked

Keep article with Clean Up

The article should stay, Shore is relevant to late 20th century American American culture. Therefore, I have Wikified the first paragraph, and cleaned up the article in general. Staged Onstage Assault

Someone keeps changing it to say the event was "legitimate". Besides the fact that the wording makes no sense, I have confirmed that the Odessa police department does have the quoted press release on their web site. I am sure they would prefer we link to the tmz.com links though.

The Simpsons

I'm not sure about this but didn't he appear in the Simpsons? The Treehouse of Horror episode where Homer and Bart as well as a number of celebrities they class as reject celebrities I guess are all on a rocket to the Sun and I remember one of the people saying "Hey, buuuudddeeeee" which I assumed was him. Although did they actually use the real people or get people to imitate them? I definately wouldn't want to appear on the Simpsons like that!

Use of his name as a synonym for has-been celebrities

This sentence: "The perceived low-quality of his starring vehicles combined with his brief tenure as a bankable movie star has resulted in his name being synonymous with untalented, unintelligent, has-been or unpopular celebrity" is attached to the end of the second paragraph in the "Career" section. Right? I thought it was common knowledge that Pauly Shore is a homosexual, but I can't seem to find it on the internet. I mean actual homosexual, not "Oh, he's so gay". Is this a reported fact?
