Requests for registration

Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.

Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.

Please add your name to the bottom of the list using *{{AWBUser|your username}} ~~~~~. Enter your user name exactly as it is, do not add underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter.

If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please add {{Admin backlog}} to the top of this page.

Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits.

I would like to use AWB to edit numerous articles efficiently thus reducing the amount repetitive tasks. Furthermore, I could also monitor the glitches in the program Chat of Wikia.

You need to clarify with Chris. I think this was only approved for semi-automated usage (where you review each edit first), in which case it only needs normal access to AWB, not bot access. In any case, if his intention had been to approve it as a bot then I doubt he would have speedily approved. That's correct. I was under the impression that this was basically just going to be a separate AWB account, that would run with human supervision and each edit would be manually approved. If you want to be approved for fully automated usage, you will have to file a separate BRFA, and be much more specific about exactly what edits the bot will be making. --Chris 07:11, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
