Good effort. I'm glad that this page has been created. I've created a similar page back in August and some people teamed up to delete it. anyway now after release of his movie there's enough reliable evideance and no one can delete this off simply they don't like him. But they should always remeber an article is an info about something or someone eventhough it's not always good things Gopaalan 13:42, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Don't get emotional. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and here we have rules on articles. For this article Wikipedia:BLP applies. Santhosh Pandit was not notable at that time, but now he is. This article will stay. I appreciate your patience. Wish you happy editing. --Sreejith K (talk) 14:30, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Sreejithk2000. Wikipedians doesn't delete articles just because we don't like or dislike someone. The factors of inclusion depends on our core policies of Notability, Verifiability by Reliable Sources. I had originally proposed Santhosh Pandit for deletion earlier, when he was not notable then. IMHO, He may be marginally notable by Wikipedia standards. If the admin who blocked the page creation ( User:Kinu ) or some other admins feel so, this block may be removed and redirect this article to Santhosh Pandit. Although I am an admin, I will leave it for the judgement of another admin. -- Tinu Cherian - 14:51, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Kinu -- Tinu Cherian - 06:04, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I feel there is sufficient notability to retain the article now. Notability will be good once an article is created for Jithu Bhai with enough reference links. But the biography section is still almost empty. This should be built with enough references.

Someone deleting entries due to jealousy towards Santhosh Pandit. The following lines were removed 2 times. "Some major newspapers and channels of India published news articles about Santhos Pandit and his movie 'Krishnanum Radhayum". This is a fact and it is supported by references. If anybody is going to delete, please give valid reasons for deletion. Byal,Bangalore October 25, 2011. 3:52pm (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Byal (talkcontribs)

As I had explained earlier, we don't delete article based on jealousy , hatred or dislike. Articles are allowed on subjects on Wikipedia based on our Notability guidelines. The article is much below standards, I request someone interested to improve it. -- Tinu Cherian - 06:17, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The statement Some major newspapers and channels of India published news articles about Santhos Pandit and his movie 'Krishnanum Radhayum". is totally unneeded. Please include the needed valid points of the news article here, but not a statement that yes, he was covered by news papers picturised in TV and radio. That does not help the reader in anyway. --Sreejith K (talk) 07:17, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done You have not specified any change to be made to the article. Please, if you have correct information about Santhosh, make an edit request with that information and a reliable source from which it can be verified. Zidanie5 (talk) 03:37, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Change Santhosh Pandit to Santhosh Pandit(Actor) as he was an actor in Malayalam film industry and his debut attempt was talked, appreciated and criticized in Kerala through the social networking sites and electronic and print media. Don't delete this page Shobinjoseph (talk) 17:37, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done The field of activity in brackets is usually displayed in order to disambiguate different people with the same name. Unless there is another article named Santhosh Pandit there is no need to add (actor) in the article's name. The occupation is mentioned in the lead section, it's enough to inform the readers.  Not done: I assume you wanted that put in the External Links section. Clicking on that link took me to a blog that didn't exist. Additionally, links to blogs are generally to be avoided. If I am mistaken as to your intents here, please clarify, but blogs are generally not linked to as either external links or as references, because they can be written by anyone. Hope this helps, Steven Zhang The clock is ticking.... 09:02, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed link. But the decision was right. It was a blog entry and it does not have anything relevant to be included in this page. --Sreejith K (talk) 19:14, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do not nominate for Deletion, Notability clearly established

Santhosh Pandit is clearly a well known notable person. Type in Google nearly 5 million hits proves his clear notability. He may have established notability through negative publicities. (I am writing from Australia [119.12.156.218]. I did not know this person until someone throws rotten eggs and tomatoes on him.) However that does not warrant an article to be deleted. Additionally, I see that well known Kerala newspaper Malayala Maonorama has published heaps of articles about him. He also got lots of money from youtube and recently been awarded for his performance. So we could talk more and more about this guy. 119.12.156.218 (talk) 05:50, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. --Ella Plantagenet (talk) 00:28, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Only the url says that the website is the official website of Santhosh Pandit. It looks like the website is trying to cash in the popularity of Santhosh. Wikipedia is not a url collection website, so this url need not be added to the page. --Sreejith K (talk) 04:42, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I too think the same, remove url asap. Or it will become other viral hit - Rahulpattuvam talk 05:46, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because...

Even the top veteran in Malayalam movies and still active acclaimed actor Madhu could give away an award ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd-Tm8Ex3Xw) to santhoh pandit in presence of Minister and veteran actor K.B Ganesh Kumar How could wikipedia avoid such a personality by simply saying it as infamy. Moreover, who ever in this world take a commercial movie for not being famous? I strongly believe the speedy deletion initiation is all part of jealously that his fame is unbearable for many who tried and tired. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.206.29.75 (talk) 16:05, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
