License tagging for Image:Mobberly1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mobberly1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Welcome!
Hi, and welcome to the Virginia WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of the state of Virginia.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every Virginia article in Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! plange 22:03, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

New Article Improvment page for WP:VIRGINIA
Seeing as our old Collaborations page at WP:VIRGINIA had no activity in the past year it was decided to replace it with a new Article Improvement/Request Help page that would allow members to list articles in need of attention. Its also a place to request help for an article taht you are working on to see if any other members would like to volunteer and help out. Thanks. T Rex | talk 01:15, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Lambs Knoll article
Hello!
I replaced the photo of Lambs Knoll with a photo I took. Thought it was a good shot of the mountain. If you don't like the photo, I'll change it back. I don't want to be rude, since you created the site. Thanks for your consideration.

Cedar Mountain edits
Sorry about undoing revisions you made on Battle of Cedar Creek. I have never had Edit Conflict arise before. I was trying to figure out what edits you hade made and incorporate them with mine, but I guess it didn't work out too well. Arbogastlw (talk) 17:45, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- This sort of thing happens, but usually I am the one who gets screwed up with the conflict. :-) If you are in the process of doing a number of sequential edits on an article and don't want interference until you're done, check out the templates at WP:TM/MAIN. Hal Jespersen (talk) 16:08, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- I reapplied some of the edits you missed in round 2. Watch out for capitalization of headings and keep your footnotes punctuated consistently. Two suggestions for the article, which you have improved a lot: Expand the lead section to 2-3 paragraphs that summarize the whole article; provide footnotes for the figures in the infobox. Hal Jespersen (talk) 16:08, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your help cleaning up the article a bit... I didn't know about the difference between Blue Ridge Mts and Ridge and Valley until I saw your link. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 23:56, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Hello, are you familiar with the Wild Oak Trail? It's a loop trail in Augusta County that crosses the North River. I'm trying to put in the proper province it is in (like you corrected in the Big Schloss article. To me it seems like it should be Ridge and Valley Appalachians, but I'm not quite sure. - The park looks really great, but there's so much work to do, particularly in the way of clearing excess fallen trees and using that resource to line and mulch trails. I know they'd like to see the clear field restored, but I suspect some folks would rather leave the place overgrown, unlike the way the place looked 148 years ago. The new signage looks great, as nice as anything I saw at Gettysburg. BusterD (talk) 16:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Civil War Picture Help
Hello, I learned from a fellow editor that your a top contributor to the American Civil War Project and that you deal specifically with Civil War events that occurred around and in Virginia.
Here's my question: A few hours ago I came across a picture that appeared in two article- The Siege of Petersburg and Fredericksburg, Virginia. In the Petersburg article, it states that the picture depicts Union soldiers at the Siege of Petersburg, however, in the Fredericksburg article, it states that the picture is of Union soldiers that the Second Battle of Fredericksburg and also states that the picture is commonly mistaken to be of Union soldiers at Petersburg.
My question is, do you know which battle this picture belongs to (Second Battle of Fredericksburg or the Siege of Petersburg) so that I may correct this mistake in one of the articles? Here's the link to the picture I'm talking about: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2e/Trenches_petersburg.jpg

You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:31, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Virginia collegiate sports funding
Hi there, I did indeed find that very same USA Today article yesterday when I decided that the source we were using was insufficient. I didn't however find out what I set out to find, which was a possible list of which states do allow state appropriations to be used by athletics teams, and which prohibit this, so as to decide if Virginia is really unique in doing this. Any luck with that?-- Patrick, oѺ∞ 17:48, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Invitation to join WikiProject United States
Leesburg Neighborhoods section
I know you brought this up over a year and a half ago, but I wanted to let you know what my thoughts are on this. I have been trying to help out with finding articles that are not really notable and either have them merged into the locality's article, or have it deleted if there is nothing worth merging. I am finding that my thoughts on what is worth keeping is always different from the administrators that are in charge of the deletion debates, and since I read where you tried to have these pages deleted yourself, it is not worth repeating the same thing now with little changed.
I think it is worth going ahead with the creating of a section about the neighborhoods, provided we can have good references to document what is put into that section. Otherwise, just making mentions of the neighborhoods in the Leesburg article and turning the neighborhood pages into redirects is the next best solution.
I am going to leave it up to you what action takes place, since I am not familiar enough with the situation. I just wanted to contact you and let you know what I feel about this, so that we do not cause more trouble and make more work for people that have better things to do. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Edits) 18:07, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Hey there! I was going to be in Leesburg, Virginia for the 150th anniversary program and re-enactment at Balls Bluff. One of my friends is a battlefield guide up there, and I was wondering how you'd feel about coming up the historic Balch Library or the Leesburg Public Library to be part of a WLL event? I'm just roughing in the idea right now. Get you a private wikipedian tour of the battlefield before the reenactment... I'm going to ask a couple of other DCers.
