Taruni Sachdev was born on 14 May 1998 to Mumbai based industrialist Harish Sachdev and Geetha Sachdev.She had appeared in numerous South Indian films as a child artiste,and featured in 50 ad films.She is well-known for acting along with Karisma Kapoor in the Rasna commercial saying 'I Love You Rasna' and has remained the face of Rasna for years.

Career

She acted in several television advertisements of Rasna, Colgate, ICICI Bank, Saffola, Kesar Badam Milk, to name a few. She also worked in Malayalam movies. She acted in Vellinakshatram (2004) [1]and Sathyam (2004). She was also a part in Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? as a replacement of Shriya Sharma. She has acted in Paa with Amitabh Bachchan[2]. She began acting at the age of six and went on to co-star with Amitabh Bachchan in 'Paa' in 2009. She became a popular child artiste with over 50 commercials to her credit, is most remembered as the Rasna girl with Karisma Kapoor.She worked in Chillar Party also as a supporting cast.[citation needed] She initially was seen in daily soap "Kasautii Zindagii Kay" as a child artist.[citation needed]

Death

Taruni Sachdev died in the Agni Air Flight CHT plane crash on 14 May 2012 near Jomsom Airport in the Mustang district of Nepal. Taruni's mother, Geetha Sachdev, who accompanied her on the flight also died in the crash.[3]
