"This is the first crossover game between three companies"
Not exactly true. Strictly speaking, for instance, Super Smash Bros Brawl had both Sonic and Snake, which means it's a crossover between Nintendo, Sega, and Konami. Cross Edge was a crossover between Namco, Capcom, Nippon Ichi (makers of Disgaea), and Gust Corporation (owned by Tecmo Koei). DreamMix TV World Fighters had characters from Konami, Hudson Soft, and Takara (toy company, owner of the Transformers brand, now Takara Tomy after merger). Cross Edge is the most important of these, since it's in Namco's X series, and thus it isn't even the first of these to be between more than two companies.
