Asia's Next Top Model is a reality television show in which a number of women compete for the title of Asia's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show will feature aspiring models from the entire Asia-Pacific.

Currently, the show is in pre-production and is set to launch in mid 2012 after Ice-TV had inked a deal with CBS for an Asian-pan version.[4][5][6] According to one of the developers, the show is being produced in Kuala Lumpur. Casting process began in March 28 and ends in May 5. Later, it is extended to May 21.

On April 11, it was publicly revealed that Nadya Hutagalung would take on the role of head judge and host of the series.[2]. Fashion director Daniel Boey, fashion photographer Todd Anthony Tyler and model Joey Mead King also take secondary roles as judges.[7]

The winner of the first season will be offered a contract with one of the top modeling agencies in Asia. She will also receive a spread and the cover of Her World Plus.

An extensive online search has already begun. Models of Asian desent are being encouraged to apply, but are required to speak and write in perfect English. All applicants must be between the ages of 18-27 and must be at least 5ft. 7, which follows the same format as the American counterpart of the show. Girls who previously participated in a national Top Model franchise can still apply for Asia's Next Top Model as long as they were not the winners, and are not currently professional models or endorsing any product or brand.

International broadcast

Asia's Next Top Model is expected to broadcast in all parts of Asia. It is confirmed that Philippine channel Studio 23 won the right to broadcast domestically in the Philippines. The other local broadcasters will soon be announced.
