Autopatrolled

(add requestview requests)
TBrandley has created over 100 articles. Most recent article, Transilience Thought Unifier Model-11 appears well sourced. Minima© (talk) 13:35, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Does he want the right?--v/r - TP 20:00, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Remember that autopatrolled is for the convenience of new page patrollers (like Minimac the requestor), not for the convenience of the recipient of the right. Unlike most (all?) other rights, it doesn't enable the recipient to do anything that they couldn't do before. And of course they can ask for it to be removed, if they are given it when they don't want it. (Or have they declined it before?) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:20, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Despite that, it's their account. If they want to continue to have their new articles reviewed, they do not have to accept the right. If it's the running consensus that the autopatrolled right is given at the request of third parties, far be it for me to object; I rarely work WP:PERM. But I personally am not going to give it without the user asking for it themselves.--v/r - TP 22:51, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I only watchlisted this page a month or two ago I think, and this page tends to be pretty quiet, so I'm no clearer than you as to the running consensus of how this particular unusual part of WP:PERM works in that respect. I guess we both need to wait for someone else to tell us :-) However, what I have seen on a regular basis, is admins who are engaged in NPP giving out this user right to accounts which seem to require it, informing the account holder after the fact, not checking with them first. (That's perhaps also one reason why this particular page tends to be quiet - the rights get given out mostly without anyone needing to come to this page.) In addition, do note, "Unlike other requests, any user may nominate an editor for Autopatrolled, even without that user's consent", which strongly hints as to this being an acceptable approach here. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:56, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done - Generally, we do give autopatrolled to users without their requesting because requests often come for new page patrollers, who are well placed to know whether it will be useful, and are most affected by the right. If the user does not want the right, they can request its removal. ItsZippy (talkcontributions) 14:54, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Later ItsZippy removed the right with the rationale: Removing autopatrolled following review of user's contributions - should not have given in the first place.. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 14:00, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This user has created 88 articles about Vietnam, most of them are notable enough and don't need patrolling. He is also a member of wiki project Vietnam and a trusted user at vi.wp. Thanks in advance Morning Sunshine (talk) 13:22, 24 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User has created 80 articles so far. He has experience working in GA's and he recently promoted Green Day to a GA with 70+ edits on that article. Dipankan (Have a chat?) 16:22, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And also for this user who has had over 300 edits and created 121 articles here so far Morning Sunshine (talk) 10:33, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Another admin is welcome to make a different decision here, but I see a lot of unreferenced and weakly sourced articles with questionable notability.--v/r - TP 12:39, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This user has created 211 referenced pages. TAP 20:07, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done - I will note that I only see around 100 paged created by this user. That said, Coin945 still meets our guidelines. Tiptoety talk 05:20, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
User has created 104 pages. TAP 14:40, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have created 66 articles(1 over redirect). I created hundreds of articles on other projects as well.MakecatTalk 09:02, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Do you mean that on Chinese Wikipedia? Because few people edited such road articles, so I created some using substitution of a template and will expand them later. --MakecatTalk 09:20, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have created 36 pages in article space (excluding redirects), plus 248 pages in User talk space, welcoming or warning new users. As far as I know, there have been no serious issues with pages I created. I also used to patrol new pages, though I haven't done so recently. I've been a registered user for about five years. Cnilep (talk) 07:24, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) I suggest you have a quick read through WP:AUTOPAT. Autopatrolled is given to users who have created 50 or more articles in the main namespace, excluding talk page and other namespaces. Thanks. Dipankan (Have a chat?) 11:23, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I feel I can give ample time to monitor and expand newly created pages as they add a lot of new information to Wikipedia. If these pages be cautiously patrolled, they might turn out much valuable. Also, Old users should be given some rest. VIVEK RAI :  Friend?  07:57, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There are atleast 6-7 articles that I'm working on in my user space. Moreover, Most of the articles I have created are of very good length and I have worked on all of them myself. Sorry, But I beg to differ with your comment. It shouldn't be a compelling reason to decline my request. Thanks foe taking time to observe. VIVEK RAI :  Friend?  11:22, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate your work, but you are not creating so many articles that it is causing problems to NPPers. I think you will be granted the rights without being asked any question if you can reach the threshold of 50 articles (and as usual, all of good quality). :) ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 11:49, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
