Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies.  Not done The photographer needs to release the images as per the image use policy - we can't take your word for it. For how to do this see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials and Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries. If the owner gives Wikipedia permission, than the images should be uploaded to the Commons.  Not done Having reviewed the AFC submission, I have a few concerns that therefore lead into here. First, you are not permitted to write an article about yourself (see WP:COI, WP:AUTOBIO and WP:PROMO). Second, you would need to release the images to Wikipedia as per the image use policy ... are you sure you want to release images your artwork that way? Third, you cannot upload non-fair-use images unless that are not currently used in a live article. Finally, the submission you made at AFC is unreferenced, and would therefore fail our WP:BLP policy. I also see no real notability, and you have made statements about artwork being part of "permanent collection", and have linked to the galleries, but not to anything that proves the claim - that doesn't work. Hi,

I'm requesting confirmation in order to edit the (semi-protected) Taliban article, as well as other articles pertaining to the Afghan conflict. The Taliban page needs to be updated to reflect the latest scholarship, in particular with regards to the Taliban's origins, as well as to correct some mistakes (Taliban ideology is not Takfiri or Pashtun nationalist, Obaidullah Akhund is not a leader of the Taliban any longer, and so on).
