Hi, can a fan give some examples to shore up the 2nd and 3rd paragraph? Otherwise it strikes me as 1) potentially speculation and 2) not something that illuminates me much. I'd much rather have an assertion like those followed by specific examples, or--perhaps better--specific examples with little to no assertion. Koyaanis Qatsi 05:35 17 Jun 2003 (UTC)
I'd like to forward the suggestion that Mr Cronenberg might like to consider a film take on 'How the Dead Live', by Will Self - I'm just curious to see what he'd find. danla17092005
Jewish?
I don't know what wikipedia policy on this is, but should Cronenberg really be listed under the two jewish categories that he is? The reason I ask is because I have heard him say, in print and on tv interviews, that he is an atheist. How can an atheist be jewish? Unless jewishness is meant to be some type of race as opposed to a religion.
And by the way, from what I know, Cronenberg's parents were also secular, so it's not like he was raised jewish and abandoned the faith. 207.6.31.119 07:00, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
- yes, it is meant in the sense that jewish is an ethnicity, although personally I think people who don't identify as Jewish (or any other of the xxx-American categories) should be moved to new categories Americans of xxx descent. Note that the only criteria for these xxx-American categories is one grandparent of that ethnicity which leads to Robert De Niro being described as a German American. - A religion is an ethnicity?
- read 'Jew', it's commonly accepted.. --Leladax 07:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- 'Related' to this point I have a doubt. The article starts stating that he's a Jewish-Canadian... why?, it's really so important to specify in the first line that he's Jewish?. Furthermore it's redundant since it's a fact written in the Early Life section. 93.156.208.66 (talk) 11:51, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

The order of the movies is wrong: Videodrome was made before The Dead Zone. Can someone fix this? Sdicht

Absurd filmography
Nightbreed (1990, as an actor)
Last Night (1998, as an actor)
Jason X (2001, as an actor)
It is very confusing to see these films listed in a DIRECTOR's filmography, and I am afraid people might not immediately make a difference between "as an actor" and "also as an actor", and write down a filmography totally wrong for research or else.
I strongly believe that there should be two different lists - even for directors, one that is only the films directed by the person, and another that is only the films he/she acted in. Otherwise it might lead some people to believe that, for example, Martin Scorsese directed a Shark's Tale when he was just voicing over in the film... --Beforedecay 20:13, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Biography section
I've added a {{subsections}} template to it since it needs more sections. The section is too lengthy, IMHO. --Biblbroks's talk 19:18, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- I again state that this section could and should be splitted into more - it contains 9 or 10 paragraphs! Maybe into subsections titled something like Early career, 1970's, 1990's, etc... Just my 2 cents. --Biblbroks's talk 15:48, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- This article fails to mention that this person is an idiot. Not only was his stupid remake of The Fly the worst movie ever made, he is an imbecile who dared mock the original. The remake was garbage. --84.249.212.126 13:35, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

isn't it a bit obvious that he's like he's giving a finger? --Leladax 07:37, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
can't anyone do better?
This page is really lame. It clearly was written by someone who is interested in Cronenberg's early works and not in the later stuff. Cronenberg keeps winning awards for his recent movies and there is nothing here about them or his transition to mainstream, if somewhat gory, reflections of the intersection of morality and depravity. There is a lot of material out there that could be useful here. Where are the articulate Cronenberg fans? Parsnip13 01:41, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
The Talking Cure
- Knightley and Waltz to star in Freud movie
- The Talking Cure in Imdb
- Keira Knightley & Christoph Waltz im neuen David Cronenberg --85.84.61.232 (talk) 17:23, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, and...? So, there are references saying the film might get made, and this is already noted in the article. There is no need to add a film that does not exist, and might not get made, to the filmography. The filmography is for films that have already been made. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 17:53, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Jan 2012-Flagged for cleanup
The first three paragraphs are extremely subjective and lack any links to verifiable sources. I am not familiar enough with this subject to make any edits myself. If there is an experienced contributor that is familiar with this subject, please make the changes. Thanks! Dark Billibong (talk) 18:44, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your input. The lead is a summary of the subject, usually citation-free. I guess the career section is the real problem here. I could tag it for "original research".--Artoasis (talk) 19:26, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Comic Books are for Children?
I looked at the citation for the ridiculous statement that he believes all comic books are for children, and it doesn't even remotely say that. The actual quote is: "A superhero movie, by definition, you know, it's comic book. It's for kids. It's adolescent in its core." Superhero. Not all comic books. Also, who thought that was relevant?
