A tag has been placed on Yuri Krasny requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 18:42, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Chinese reformers

Are you going to create such a category and put it into a proper category hierarchy? Right now, the category doesn't exist. --Nlu (talk) 16:08, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just did it, thanks for reminding!--Shanghainese.ua (talk) 05:16, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Good work! --Nlu (talk) 05:24, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation pages list Wikipedia articles only, so until there is an article about the Sinologist he should not be included in any disambiguation pages. PamD (talk) 00:11, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As you please. I thought, Wikipedia was about easy access to data, and not about the self-arrangement of wikipedia...--Shanghainese.ua (talk) 04:35, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Disambiguation pages are purely navigational tools for finding articles in Wikipedia. There is now a stub article on Benjamin I. Schwarz. I've replaced him on the dab page, now that there is an article. As you think he is important, please do some work on this stub article to expand it. PamD (talk) 09:25, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
User:DGG has helped expand the article - and I've now got it at the right name. I didn't notice that the man you were adding to the Benjamin Schwarz disambiguation was a Schwartz with a T. Now found material up to and including a NYT obituary. PamD (talk) 19:50, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shusun Tong requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 12:36, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Hellmut Wilhelm, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shenzi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please, may you complete your reference on Tang Code. The author, isbn, url are missing. Please add them if available. Thanks! Yug (talk) 21:46, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed what I could, have no idea what the books URL is.--Shanghainese.ua (talk) 22:06, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done! I found the url online using google and the isbn :). issue closed !! Yug (talk) 23:58, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I just could not figure out how the paging works. The one pinpointing the reference does not appear in the article itself?--Shanghainese.ua (talk) 05:41, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Some cheatsheet !:

For within the article text (pick the ones you like)
In-text templates
Templates Aliases Example
{{Harvard citation no brackets}} {{harvnb}} Smith 2006, p. 25
{{Harvard citation}} {{harv}} (Smith 2006, p. 25)
{{Harvard citation text}} {{harvtxt}} Smith (2006, p. 25)
{{Harvcolnb}} Smith 2006:25
{{Harvcoltxt}} Smith (2006:25)
{{Harvcol}} (Smith 2006:25)
{{Harvard citations}} ({{harvs}}) John Smith (2006, 2007) (and many other forms).
{{Shortened footnote template}} {{sfn}} Article text.[1]
  1. ^ Smith 2006, p. 25.
{{Sfnp}} Article text.[1]
  1. ^ Smith (2006), p. 25.
{{Sfnm}} Article text.[1]
  1. ^ Smith, Jones & Johnson 2005, p. 15; Jones, Johnson & Smith 2004, p. 50.
For the 'References / Sources' sectionL
  • {{citation}} : { {citation |last1=Roosevelt |first1= Frank |title= Title |year= YYYY |isbn= |volume= |issue= |url= } }

In my opinion, the most important are the isbn (book) / or issn (journal) codes, and the title. That's enough so we can find it online. :)
