Great work on Huggle! You seem to be on at all hours, and you almost always beat me to the revert. Good work mate! T.I.M(Contact) 18:56, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chain Home Radar page edit/revert.

Thanks for keeping an eye on what I was doing..but you didn't leave me much time to finish it..you reverted the text while I was in the middle of editing!

For some reason the link pages weren't working properly, perhaps this was your reason?

Thanks for the reply! No harm done - no offence taken.

It is probably best just to leave the proposed edits hanging until the notice I left at AIV gets acted on and he gets blocked. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:42, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My request for rollback

You undid my request for rollback rights. I was editing it, and I added a ":D". Sorry if that looked like vandalism.

Thanks for undoing that ;D  Qbgeekjtw  22:07, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rihanna - Stay genre

Hey, I edited the genre from R&B because it is NOT an R&B song. The song is a Pop ballad with piano driven notes that contains elements of the soul genre as well. The Genre of the song is Pop, soul NOT R&B. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.82.106.35 (talk) 22:12, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blue-footed Booby

Hi. Jes, you are right. I should advise. I beg your pardon. English is not my language. I am an user of esperanto Vikipedio and I translate from English. I noticed that the part I took (Communication) is again at the end of the article, so it was double and now it is doubled again.--193.153.145.236 (talk) 21:47, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reverting

Actually, I personally have no qualms about such crap staying on my talk page for everyone to see what kind of editors we get here ;) The worst kind of vandalism that must be reverted is those that blank or refactor comments or impersonate other users' signatures. I've left another message on his talk page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 21:52, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK,you're right, I'm new to Wikipedia and I'm a little fuzzy on what's ok and what's not. Thank you for contacting me and telling me, I know now hat you are one of the nicer people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Surfergurl123 (talkcontribs) 21:56, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Will "Googly Eye" Wheaton

You recently removed my, and many others, edits, I only changed it once, on Wil Wheaton's wikipedia page and I understand why you wouldn't understand us, you're not a nerdfighter. Just about half an hour ago Wil Wheaton was, and still is, on a live stream to promote charities durring Project for Awesome where he proclaimed that his new nickname is "The Googly Eye Man" and mentioned a few other variations. He also promoted noting his knew nickname on his wikipedia. I understand the misunderstanding, but really I hope you check the project out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8vhzkThg2k. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fuliajulia (talkcontribs) 06:15, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gun control

Hi you undid my edit on gun control, this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gun_control&oldid=528443571

With all due respect, did you check the content of that edit? The referenced paper says quite clearly in the paragraph I cited, that the findings were not significant. That means that they are not useful as a statistical conlusion. If you want to make the presentation of the edit more clear then fine, but it simply undoing this edit leaves the article stating incorrect facts. Feel free to modify the edit to make things more appropriate, but please leave the article stating the correct conclusions of the referenced material. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.197.146 (talk) 08:04, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please point out the edit you are referring to. As far as I can see, the only undoing I've made was the one calling gun control "terrible legislation", which is clearly a case of not adhering to NPOV. Widr (talk) 08:25, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay sorry I am a wikiidiot who is trying to correct an error on the gun control page and it keeps getting undone. I cant figure out who undoes it or why or how to do it properly. The problem is in the Impact On Mortality section right here:

"Martin Killias, in a 1993 study covering 21 countries, found that there were significant correlations between gun ownership and gun-related suicide and homicide rates. There was also a significant though lesser correlation between gun ownership and total homicide rates[3] "

The second sentence there is incorrect. In fact the paper referenced says quite clearly on page 304, second paragraph that the correlation is not statistically significant. Specifically, it says:

"There is indeed a positive correlation between gun ownership rates and non-gun homicide rates (.212 and .473 respectively, in Table 3, when the two countries with extreme scores are included), but it is not as strong as the correlations found between gun ownership and homicide with guns, and NEITHER IS IT SIGNIFICANT (in the sample of 16 countries)."

So the second sentence from the Wikipedia article is incorrectly stating that the correlation was significant. It was not. Can you please help fix the article? Whatever I do it keeps getting undone by someone.

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.197.146 (talk) 02:46, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,Widr and 76.28.197.146. I am one of the parties who has reverted the edit. Mine is the one with the cryptic edit summary "You have misinterpreted what is said on pp 304. Non-gun not total." I apologise if this was not enough of an explanation for the undo. In any event, the sentence you want removed states "There was also a significant though lesser correlation between gun ownership and TOTAL homicide rates." This would indicate that the correlation between gun ownership and ALL types of homicide combined (guns and knives and clubs and so on...) was significant, which, as far as I can tell, is correct. What you are referring to as being non-significant is the correlation between gun-ownership and NON-GUN homicide (i.e., just knives and clubs and so on, but no gun homicide) which is true, according to page 304 of the article, but has nothing to do with the sentence you want removed. The sentence was there long before I started editing Wikipedia, and I do think it is correct and should be returned.
If you want to add the stuff from page 304, I think you may have to be careful as it requires a *pattern* of correlations to make sense, and would necessitate paraphrasing almost the whole section on page 304.
Please let me know if you agree with this.StopYourBull (talk) 23:20, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, StopYourBull. I removed the sentence 76.28.197.146 previously mentioned per his/her request. But that's as far as I'm actually willing to get involved here, as I'm far from being familiar with this subject. I trust that you and the other experts will reach a consensus on further removals or addings. Thanks! Widr (talk) 23:43, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Let There Be Love

Stop reverting, its called Electronic Dance, and it doesnt need to be shortened, cause its official name is Electronic Dance. And plus its no need to use, look:

"Christmaspoogate"

Regarding this edit [1] - why restore an edit that includes changing a title on Talk:Main page to "Christmaspoogate"? Thanks, JoeSperrazza (talk) 21:51, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your answer on my talk page, please revert your erroneous undo. The IP user is now claiming that your mistaken undo vindicates him and should lead to his unblocking. See [2]. JoeSperrazza (talk) 22:13, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

removed some content

I recently removed Nathalia's content but it was a mistake. I want to remove her full name from my first article, is that possible? Thank you

Leilalima (talk) 23:31, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Widr. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Nathalia Suellen without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
