School IPs
Hello. I noticed that you blocked Special:Contributions/185.49.43.123 and decided to take a look at them, and found that it's part of a block of IPs (185.49.40.0/22) owned by a company named Panoptics Global, St. Ives, UK, and obviously all used by schools, judging by their contributions (see this list of all contributions ever made by the entire /22-net on en-WP, almost all of them blatant vandalism). Several of the IPs in the /22-net are currently blocked individually for vandalism, and a number of others have multiple previous blocks, so a range block might be in order. Hello Widr, Many thanks for your block of 78.146.97.88 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), after a series of obscene comments on various User Talk pages, including my own. From the location and other content of the disturbed person it does look like the Lincoln/Kennedy/Titanic IP, who has been been blocked multiple times by Admin Acroterion for LTA has surfaced again. - OK. They have a very poor history on Wikipedia and, as I stated, have been blocked multiple times by admins. It is a pity they cannot be excluded from the encyclopedia, but I realise that is not possible unless we had mandatory registration of all accounts. G'day, Widr. Hope you are well. Not sure how this happened, but we both seem to have blocked IP 2600:387:2:811:0:0:0:C2. Apologies for this. I'm a bit confused, though, because when I blocked the IP the software didn't prompt me that they were already blocked (which it usually does). Also, there appear to be different time frames showing for the block. One page (the user contribs page), shows your block: [2], while the block log just shows my block: [3]. Do you know why the block log wouldn't show your block, and the software would let me block, when you already had? Once again, apologies for this, not quite sure how this happened. Don't mean to be a killjoy, but can you please explain what part of the Revision deletion policy covers this? New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 12,878 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a day.
- We have successfully cleared the backlog of pages created by non-confirmed accounts before ACTRIAL. Thank you to everyone who participated in that drive.
Technology update:
- Primefac has created a script that will assist in requesting revision deletion for copyright violations that are often found in new pages. For more information see User:Primefac/revdel.

I just bugged C. Fred, but could you explain why you removed this user's userpage? If I recall, the page in question appeared to be reasonable when I looked at it and wasn't disruptive. It looks like he was doing _something_ disruptive, but given it had some actual contributions, I'm not sure why he was blocked without talk page access or had his user page deleted. According to whois and this website henghost (in Chinese), seem the ip was owned by an open proxy SonderCloud Limited for mainland Chinese who intended to bypass the Chinese Great Firewall, may be need longer time of block, as previous edit of the ip was regarding Italian language, which little geographical connection to Hong Kong which the server was physically located.
