Question - What is the copyright status of the image(s) or file(s) you wish to use? Armbrust The Homunculus 10:48, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The right to upload a copyrighted, non-free work. The logo of the Liberal Democrats, image sourced from official political party pdf file and then formatted into a SVG file for use in the infobox, in fair use allowing readers to identify with the organisation. Cannot request file to be uploaded by another user due to myself being the original formatter, and non-free work files being non-permitted to being uploaded on Wiki-Commons. I am an employee of Viacom and am trying to change the Kids Choice Awards date to the proper one. The entry is semi-protected right now Fmood123 (talk) 21:46, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now!. Armbrust The Homunculus 09:56, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello - I'm a web administrator at a university in Texas and new to wikipedia - solely to be able to update some text content and photos/images on our university wikipedia page. I'm ready to learn how to use wikipedia but I'd like to fast track my ability to add photos/logos to the page as well. Laurenlinn (talk) 22:00, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You can request the upload of the logo at WP:Files for upload. As for the other photos: Question - What is the copyright status of the image(s) or file(s) you wish to use? Armbrust The Homunculus 09:58, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Armbrust, I'll need to compare our university website photo permissions with the copyright status descriptions in use on wikipedia before I can answer that question. I'll be back in the office on Monday and can better determine this by talking with my colleagues. Thanks! 16:02, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Dear Team, Could you please confirm my account? It's been more than a week since I created my account and it hasn't been confirmed yet. This is stopping me from uploading pictures (Mostly film posters). Thanks in advance. Regards, Bala. Bala.rejuvenated (talk) 10:57, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am requesting confirmed rights so that I may add knowledge to the "Big Mac" article (McDonald's hamburger). My mom, Esther Glickstein Rose, invented the name "Big Mac" for McDonald's while she worked for McDonald's in the 1960's. There are many news articles to use as references for this information, including this AP News Article from 1985. I would also like to add the previous (and failed) names for the burger, including The Aristocrat and The Blue Ribbon Burger. There is quite a history behind the actual name of the burger, and I would like to add this information into the article. Scott Rose (talk) 18:53, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Not done please use the article's talk page to discuss the edits you wish to make. Also, you will need to provide reliable sources for the changes you wish to make. GB fan 00:44, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm requesting the rights to upload an image for the article Rodrigo Bueno. I made a considerable expansion of the body, which is reliably sourced, enough to qualify to upload media under fair use. Since there are no free files regarding the subject, I want to upload a publicity portrait of the singer produced by the label. I want as well to upload two to three audio excerpts (thirty-seconds out of four minutes, quality reduced to .Ogg Vorbis 0) from songs to exemplify his style and to illustrate further the article. As it is visible on the expansion I made, I already know the MoS, since I hold another account on Wikipedia. I opened this account to edit under a pseudonym, since I want to keep both of my accounts separated to dedicate them to different topics.Rod840 (talk) 03:07, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to edit the Dean Winchester page saying that he is indeed bisexual as confirmed by the writers themselves and known by LGBT who added his name to their two pages "list of lgbt characters in television" and List of dramatic television series with LGBT characters" 184.152.66.113 (talk) 05:27, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
in addition to my previous request to confirm dean winchesters bisexuality on his page, can I ask you to lock the List of dramatic television series with LGBT characters page? An annoying follower of mine on tumblr heard that it was written there and took issue with it so keeps on changing what is written even though it has been confirmed and i am tired of repeatedly undoing his meddling. 184.152.66.113 (talk) 05:35, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Unregistered users can't gain confirmed permission. You have the following options: (1) Create an account and request the permission again or (2) use the edit request process. Asking the "lock" of the page should be made at WP:RFPP. Armbrust The Homunculus 09:09, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
