Hey, thanks for adding the info tho Robert Felkin. Did the info come from Ellic Howe's book Magicians of the Golden Dawn? I'd like to put some citations in, since this info is not found in Islands of the Dawn, as the current wording would imply... Fuzzypeg 02:22, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I am not sure how to work this, or to reply, or email direct. But I have a lot more info on Robert Felkin -- not from Ellic Howe's book, but mainly from the net -- including a picture. As it happens, he was a (distant) relation of mine, too. If I have time I hope to add a bit more, or send to you. I added him as a resident of Havelock North; pupil of Wolverhampton Grammar School. Perhaps we need to add to Categories? I have seen the daughter's name more often spelt "Ethlewyn". Can you check your source? Handsaw 17:30, 19 March 2007.

My source (Islands of the Dawn) says "Ethelwyn". It'd be great if you could point me towards those webpages you mention; attribution of information is a pretty key concern in Wikipedia, and currently the article misleadingly implies that all that new info comes from Islands of the Dawn. In fact, before I forget, I'll put in some tags marking where in the article citations are needed... Fuzzypeg 04:11, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, that's really good work you've done there. Sorry for putting those "citation needed" tags everywhere; hopefully we can get rid of them again fairly quickly. If you want to add a citation in the text and don't know how to format it, just stick it in brackets or something and I'll format it later. Cheers, Fuzzypeg 05:48, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. It's fun creatively communicating and collaborating across oceans and time zones. I have added and tweaked a little, tightening the structure, I hope not too intrusively. Hadn't much time today to check the sources, but I promise to have a go and enter at citation needed ref. in brackets (and, no, I don't know how to format, but am learning a few tricks!) The added family details are given in the Patricia Pegg book now cited, and his birth details in the 1881 Census available online (see IGI). You seem to have corroborated or found a lot of my sources brilliantly. Handsaw at 00.29 GMT.

Adriaen van Utrecht

Hi. thanks for adding to the Adriaen van Utrecht article. Might you be able to provide some references for the information? --Stomme (talk) 07:20, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Yes, I'll work on it. btw, I noticed there are several images in the "gallery" section of the Portuguese entry: do you know how to get these into this article? They also have a caption for the main image.

Thanks for uploading Image:Friedrich von Hugel.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

AfD nomination of Mander family

I have nominated Mander family, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mander family. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Non-free files in your user space

Hey there Handsaw, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Handsaw/Gloucestershire Victoria County History. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:06, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Joseph Webb, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.roeandmoore.co.uk/WEBBJoseph.asp?Cat=WEBB,%20Joseph.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 20:02, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joseph Webb requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mander family, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Blood money (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Laura Bechtolsheimer. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 213.246.124.135 (talk) 19:10, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Laura Bechtolsheimer, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. 213.246.124.135 (talk) 19:10, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
