Blathur is a village in Kannur, Kerala, India. This village is 38 kilometers away from the district head quarters at Kannur. The nearest town is Irikkur. The village is situated in the Padiyur Gramapanchayath in Taliparamba Taluk, on the edge of a roughly 90 acre paddy field. Blathur is 169 meters above sea level. This area is rich in laterite rocks and the main industry is based on laterite stone mining and agriculture.

History

The village was the scene of a protest (Kavumbayi Struggle) against the Madras Special Police on December 30, 1946.
